Thread: last movie you saw - and what did you think of it?

I just watched Push, like, twenty minutes ago. God, it was boorrring and it had absolutely no suspense at all. I had a straight-face the entire movie.

I also watched Monty Python's Life of Brian again, which was brilliant

"Knowing"
I couldn't tell you if it was good or not.. unless my falling asleep half way through it sums it up!

"The Wrestler"
It was really good but I think I was also fascinated by how bad Mickey Rourke looks in real life (plastic surgery is NOT his friend).

Face off. I heart that movie so much. It was my first DVD.

Martian Child - I really enjoyed this movie! I probably wouldn't have watched it if it hadn't been recommended, but I'm glad it was.

I saw City of Ember (IMDB)

It's definitely a kids film, but I loved it. The movie was based on a book, and is best enjoyed by people who already read the book.

There were some unrealistic parts in it, but the graphics were reason enough to see it.

The visuals were absolutely INCREDIBLE

The plot was really great.

The cast was superb.

Unfortunately, Rotten Tomatoes gave it 51%, and in it's concensus said

I would say that's pretty accurate, but I still found the film enjoyable.

I would definitely recommend it. It's a post apocalyptic film, which I love.

My sister loved City of Ember, I never watched it though.


I just watched The Squid and the Whale. It painted the whole divorce process and it's toll on the kids pretty well, but ended kind of abruptly. No, it ended really abruptly.

Hellbinders - its a low budget movie that just came out and it was actually pretty decent. Here's the trailer:

Also, just watched Knocked Up last night. As sorry as I felt for the gorgeous blonde girl, I enjoyed it a lot.

Ocean's Thirteen and Matrix Reloaded.

Both kicked ass.

"The Replicant" with Jean Claude VanDamme.

I was surprised.. it really wasn't too bad.

Saw most of 300, pretty good, lovely cinematography, I would have enjoyed it more had my TV not been so small

Just saw 9 and Gamer

I thought Gamer would actually have been better if it were fragmented into a bunch of internet videos rather than pieced together in a film. This is especially so for the musical parts.

9 was vastly disappointing. I went in expecting much more than what I got.

More like is was shit, at least I thought so. I found it to be quite boring, it had way to much talking which is unusual for Tarentino. Usually his films are just over the top blood and gore the whole way through.

Tuck Everlasting

I hadn't seen it before and found it to be a nice, enjoyable movie. Rather short, but I wasn't in the mood for anything overly emotional, so it was perfect. A good retort to those seeking physical immortality.

It was a good movie, but the end was odd....I mean it was rly fast, I was expecting more, like if the movie wasn't finished. Anyway, lots of useless tits, it's like tits spam for 0.1 sec. And sometimes the filming made dizzy D=

Gran Torino

It was an an excellent movie. I highly recommend it.
