Need For Speed: World

Anyone heard of this? Need for Speed: World, NFS's latest game in the franchise coming out 20th July 2010 which is a MMO that will be free to play (but you have to pay if you want to unlock more of the features) and it's basically a mix of NFS: Most Wanted and NFS: Carbon (My 2 fav's). I'm quite looking forward to it, here's a vid:

It is epic. I do have the beta demo and its pretty awesome! Check out need for speed world on Google, and i'm sure you will find a link. I can try to package the installer and web host it if you guys are having trouble finding it.

ugh, today was release date and it didn't get released in australia *sigh* i've heard we might get it after 27th july though

I hate when people do that. The video game industry seems to be hating on Australia. No mw2 right?

i assume u mean modern warfare 2? we've got that luckily. It's just EA games they don't want to host a server in aus but they are gonna have to eventually and I think they will do it for this game, but they didn't do it for APB. I really hate EA with their DRM bullcrap. Oz also sucks for classifications, we dont have an R rated category for games which is what we need, that would guarentee that we could get all games over here.

I believe it's releasing on the 27th for everyone. You could pay to be able to play a week in advance, but the 27th is the official free date.

But yeah, I got to play the beta for two days, and it was awesome. Can't wait.

wow poor planning on their part, 27th is when SC2 comes out. Their gonna get swallowed by it.

Yeah i know.. exact same date as SC2 lol. Well its out in Oz now and I played it for a bit but its not that great. For starters its way to basic and easy, the powerups do next to nothing and they dont recharge, once you've used them you have to collect more which makes the game less fun. All the cars are pretty much the same speed in the free version so theres not really any skill involved. Theres also not much traffic about so its kinda boring. I don't think i'll even bother playing it any more I'd rather play SC2.
