Evolutionarily speaking, it's called heterozygote advantage. Not too sure how relevant it is to this, though.

I've often heard this 'hybrids are superior' rhetoric, but what is actually 'better' about them? Do they actually live longer? Have less disease? Well one thing they do have is an almost impossibility in finding organ donors. Something actually relevant in modern society, more relelvent than some niche parasite.

Also a wider array of immunity to disease.

It was funny. It was appropriate. I shouldn't have even dignified this thread with the first two answers (that didn't get deleted). I just thought that it was a legitimate question that deserved an honest answer. But then I saw his sig. So I wrote a little story.

It was not racist. Specifically, I was making fun of predjudices and not people.

Well, your post was filled with racist statements, and the 1st time you didn't explain. I just decided to nip it in the bud before it drew a bunch of angry replies and the thread degenerated into nothing but argument.

I ask because it means different things to different people, so I want to know exactly what you are acusing me of being. Thirdly, how am I 'the enemy? what are you then, some black supremacist? I didn't read the thread, as I usually don't.

One major reason Africa never developed as much as Europe and China and other places has to do with the arability of the land. Farming cannot occur on the same scale or fashion in Africa as it could elsewhere, thus the people had to struggle more for basic necessities. This means the people simply would not have as much time to develop non-essential skills and would have to compete with each other on an individual basis more often.

Why did Europe dominate the world for several centuries? Because it's best potential competitor, China, turned its back on a naval empire sometime earlier. In addition, the states of Europe were highly competitive and desperate to one-up each other. This meant branching out for more territory and resources to secure an economic advantage.

I was thinking about your sig earlier, Thatperson, and how incorrect it is. There are racists in every race, not just white people. It is considered bigotry to point something out in another race as a whole, so "anti-racists" tend to be most focused on racism in their own race, unless they feel they are victims of racism from another race.

At the risk at breaking this taboo, I'd like to point out that I think Mexicans and Chinese are more racist than most whites, by in large. I'd say a good portion is just as racist as you, but they don't victimize themselves like their culture is being taken over, they just treat their own race much better than other races.

The ends do not justify the means, Xei. No matter how factually wrong everything Thatperson's posts have been, he did not resort to cruelty. To condone PS' post would be to justify Thatperson's self victimization.
