      Why Obama shall win;

Look at Mr. Obama's crowds: Young people. Hip people. People of all ages and races, all united behind one man who perfectly represents his supporters- a man of two races, black and white.

Hillary's? Old sweaty white women who bring their old, sweaty, white husbands to hold the sign.

According to the media, John Mccain doesn't exist.

Yeah, Obama just clinched the nomination. Hillary also had conservative democrats, which is why she won PA and Ohio. Since she won the popular vote she will probably be the VP.

      I hope to hell not.

I'd say the only reason he would run with her is because of all her crazy as shit supporters who are threatening to run over to John. What spiteful little girls!

I know what the "hope" and "change" Obama talks about all the time are about.

You better *hope* he doesn't get elected. If he does, you should *change* your pants, because you (and every sane person in the US) have/has just shit yourself/themselves.

Now it is time for the real game to begin. I have a prediction. Between now and November, Barack Obama is going to have a lot of embarrassing foul ups in what he says and probably in what else is exposed about him. It is about to become much more obvious that he is not knowledgeable or experienced enough, or pro-American enough, for the most important job in the world. Prepare to see a lot of on the heels defense bumbling and off the wall statements that are way out of touch with reality. Just watch.

Contrary to the surface appearance, I am not trying to start an argument here. I am just saying... watch what happens.

Are these predictions based on the fact that he has had only one significant embarassing foul up in what he has said ("57 states") in his entire campaign and the fact that he continues to lay all his cards out on the table? Is your belief in his future "bumbling" and "out of touch statements" also extrapolated from his current incredible oratory level-headedness and his lack of saying "off-the-wall statements that are in touch with reality?"

If your "predictions" come true, then they come true... but so far they are based on absolutely no current trend. In fact the opposite trend is occurring.

I am saying that "his current incredible oratory level-headedness" is about all he really has, and he even lacks that to an extent greater than what is being acknowledged. He is about to start really getting put to the test on where he stands on issues. You will see his shortcomings in that process.

He has had more than one foul up. He has been exposed for going to an extremist anti-American church for twenty years, being very close to another anti-American extremist clergyman, being good friends and speaking partners with an admitted terrorist who bombed several government locations and said on 9/11/01 he wished he had killed more people. Obama contradicted himself all over the place in explaining his history with Reverend Wright. He flat out lied about what he knew about Reverend Wright. He dissed small town gun owners. He said we should invade Pakistan, which was a major blunder that showed his lack of understanding of Middle East policy. That is definitely more than one foul up. I predict more to come.

Like I said, I don't want to argue about this. I clarified my point. Now just watch.

Err, I said one foul up "in what he says" (like you said in part). In regards to other "Foul ups" you just listed, those aren't really foul ups as much as the tendency for the media and the American people to blow things way out of proportion

Yeah unless you are looking to argue with a black hole of irrational right-wing talking points, just ignore Universal Mind's contributions to this thread. He is the quintessential Fox News watching, Karl Rove worshipping type of guy whose mind can't be changed.

      So don't bother trying.

      (No offense, UM)

Speaking of the right wing, did anyone catch John McCain's creepy, cringe-worthy speech last night?

I still shudder to think of the poor acting and scary forced smile he put on top of that weird voice...he's definitely better speaking off the cuff.

Wow, you just jumped to a whole bunch of conclusions. Do you get your information on people from the Psychic service advertised on the main forum page? Go to the Religion forum and see for yourself just how right wing I am, or read in this forum about what I think of the illegality of drugs, prostitution, and gay marriage, or the proposed flag burning amendment. Read my opinions in the pornography thread. You can then know just how closed-minded and conclusion leaping you are.

Say something logical to counter my points, and you will change my mind. Surprise me.

      Oh, and just watch...

Obama is flakier than a dehydrated Pillsbury Crescent roll in a microwave.

Not to mention he's a blithering idiot. Did you see his latest press conference? "Ur... um... uh... we... er... uh... my wife and I... um.... er.... ah.... decided to... ur... um... ah... withdraw from... ur... uh... ah... mm..."

Having a deep, veratone voice does not make you smart.

And of course he appeals to kids-- He appeals to everyone who doesn't have a plan.

No need to play coy. Let's try "extremist anti-American church."

Okay, so which word(s) involves hyperbole? Extremist, anti-American, or church?

Bingo! And neither does saying empty things like, "I want change," and, "We can be unified." It is all a bunch of hot air that isn't really saying anything.

The three together make a phrase (wow, surprise!)
You are describing his church as "extremist, anti-American." That description is hyperbole.

      No it isn't.

Pastor: "Not God bless America, God Damn America!!"
      Congregation: *Cheers*

That's pretty extremist, and pretty anti-american.

So you agree with "church" and "twenty years", but you disagree with "anti-American" and "extremist"?

"God damn America!" and connecting 9/11 kharmically to Hiroshima is...

      a. pro-American

      c. neither

Ooh... I can play that game too!

A person saying "God damn America is the same as:

      1. A church having anti-American policies
      2. A church saying "God damn America"
      3. A person saying "God damn America"

Kind of like saying that anyone belonging to the Catholic church belongs to an "extremist pedophelia church."

Difference is Obama here has had an extremely personal relationship with this guy for twenty years, and he knew damn well that he was an anti-american racist. Notonly that but he also overlooked this when he ran for president and even said he didn't see it coming.

I don't know about you but I don't think an anti-american/ Racist/ someone who can't see so far into the future as him belonging to a church pastored by a racist would do come out.

      I mean seriously.

He went to the church for twenty years. That says who he is. I am not talking about his plummer or his gas pumper. I am talking about his very close friend pastor. It speaks volumes.
