the 57 species part is something I have trouble swallowing. such a bold statement and I hope they are able to back it up in the future. my biggest concern is, if we do have captured deceased alien in glass jars, how does this make humanity look to the rest of space? certainly, in nearly all of our cultures, if another country denies us to bury our own dead we would view that as a less than friendly act.
if what is being said is true, then this could be one reason why there is no 'first contact' as we know it. who wants to make first contact with a hostile lets-shoot-anything-that-flies and then chop up their dead race?? or worse, maybe they weren't even dead yet???
hoax, lies, money. regardless, I think the disclosure project still brings up some good points. one that I like is, we need to consider the possibility we are being visited, as has Canada, UK, Japan, Brazil and other countries - and if we are being visited we need some system to ensure our own safety and to ensure a friendly first contact. so chopping up intelligent visitors and keeping them locked up in a bunker some where, would be a hostile no-no.
