It's coincidence. And Oct 14th is nothing special. New South Park and Family Guy episodes are around that time, but not on that specific date.

The aliens can suck my spaghetti and meatballs if they come.

I'll fuck them up and steal their ships, it'll be like some Halo stuff.

Nothing will happen on October 14th, besides you realizing aliens aren't coming to kick it with earthlings.

I agree. There was already an October 14th thread. DreamHope though, has been known to get trigger happy when it comes to firing off new threads that have 0 logic.

I'd take that bet if I actually believed in little green/grey men with huge bug eyes sticking tracking devices up people assholes and are able to make a vehicle the size of Rhode Island or so that can travel at the speed of sound or close to it. That really makes no sense at all, really.

I don't believe in little green skinned, big black bug-eyed men storming around in tinfoil clothing in ships that run off of an unknown source of energy that can travel from light year distances away to our planet just to cruise around in the sky then fly back off.

If there is alien life out there, it's probably single-celled organisms.

I feel this way too. I will be excited if this happens, but as of right now I can rationally say that any truth I may perceive in the claims comes only from the hope and not from any credible evidence.

Honestly there is no point in worrying about whether its true or not. If it happens or not, what happens will no matter what I think about it.

Really? You think that in the entire universe, no planet sprouted life before the earth did in the course of about 9 billion years? Assuming another developed life at the same rate as we have, if they got started just a few thousand years before we did they would currently be evolved well past the point of human comprehension, maybe even less time than that. The current idea about human progress is that we are about to reach a turning point in our exponential growth and that we could be well beyond current human comprehension within a mere hundred years. This means that an alien race of organisms that began evolving just 100 years before life formed on earth very well may be able to do things we can't even imagine, let alone believe. I'd say given the theorized time scale that we are dealing with, there are things out there that would literally make brains over heat and explode here on earth. Given that assumption, one can also assume that if it is true, then anything we can imagine and sounds reasonably feasible is almost definitely true and possibly extremely obsolete. For all we can imagine, any alien space craft we see is probably last millenium's model (or older) on the grand scale.

Yes, they'll come and laugh at our crashing stock market and the mismanagement of uncaring governments.

They're probably coming back to return their copy of E.T. back to Blockbuster.

You can close this thread yourself. Scroll up to your original post and you should see a menu bar slightly above it. You should see something called "Thread Tools". Click it, and selected "Close Thread" then click perform action. Problem solved.
