Odd dreams - Coming true or close to it...

      Hey everyone.

I wasn't sure where to post this so please feel free to move this to the right section.

Over the past few years, I've encountered 2 really odd dreams. I am wondering if anyone else has encountered these type of dreams were a dream has come true, almost come true or.. something.

My sister Amelia dreampt about this lady who tried killing her once a year and one year this lady warned my sister, she said 'Tell any one about me and I will kill you when you sleep next'. Well, my sister told me and guess what, that night I dreampt about her and she tried killing me, I still remember this dream perfectly. Thankfully she didn't get to kill me. The next day I told my sister about the dream and my sister told me what the lady looked like and I almost dropped dead from shock but the lady I saw, looked exactly like the woman my sister described. After that night, we never saw this lady again in dreams.

The next dream is a dream that has always haunted me and I recently found out something that freaked the hell out of me.

I had a dream my sister died in a car accident (same sister who had the previous dream) and I never forgot about the dream, I always remembered what the car looked like, it was like a four wheel drive so I've never liked them since... Awhile ago my mum bought a car, it looked EXACTLY the same as the car I dreampt about. I still dislike the car mum owns. Though, that isn't the freaky part...

My sisters best friend, Sam was going to buy a car and apparently it was exactly like my mums car and when Sam got in to the car she could (I know this is going to sound weird) hear my sisters voice in her head, saying this car would be the death of her so Sam didn't buy the car. It freaked me out cause this car was exactly like my mums and from my dream. It makes me wonder if this was a warning...

I also found out my sister and her friend, Sam, on the same night dreampt that my sister was in a car accident.. Worse part, it was a dream about a car that another one of her friends owned. Sam and my sister had exactly the same dream, everything was the same.

It freaks me out a bit, it makes me wonder if my sister is in danger of being seriously hurt or worse in a car accident one day.

      Has anyone experienced this before?.

stuff like that has happened to me a few times in the past with my older brother. i always thought that it happened to people with close bonds (the similar dreaming that is). as for the car, i don't know. reminds me of jinx mobile and how James deans' car was cursed.

You probably want to check out the 'Beyond Dreaming' forum for all the dream-related hoodoo.

And if your friend is hearing voices I would suggesting seeking medical attention. The kind of reality breaks that cause you to think someone else is in your held will also lead to making jumps in logic like assuming a dream can be prophetic.

We probably shouldn't outright dismiss this kind of thing, since it's a legitimate phenomenon, related to precognition, and has been reported in many cases. My mother once told me she had a recurring dream about walking down a street, seeing a house and going to the house. When the owner opened the door, he chased her in order to kill her, and she would wake up as he caught her. Months later, she was going to a friend's house in a new subdivision, and saw the exact house, down to the number. She did not approach the house, and never had the dream again.

There's a theory that I subscribe to that says they are warnings from our future selves. An event that is so sudden, such as a car crash, or murder leaves a psychic imprint, which can sometimes travel back through time and be received by some people. It could be you, since you would be most attuned to your own thoughts and energy, or a psychic, who can read other people's energy. Being in sleep could make you more receptive to this energy by turning off the background noise of your mind. These warnings come to you as "a bad feeling," dreams, deja-vu or something else.

      Just my thoughts.

Ahhhhhhh...don't want to get into a debate about the validity of people "seeing the future" or "dreaming the future," but I flat out disagree with the idea that it is a legitimate phenomenon. But you have the right to your opinion, and while I will continue to point new posters to the 'Beyond Dreaming' forum, I won't post there myself, as people don't need me arguing their beliefs in the forum that is specifically set aside for those kinds of matters.

That said, if the OP wants to have a serious discussion about their ability to have prophetic dreams and be attacked by old lady dream entities, 'Beyond Dreaming' is the place to have it.

I once dreamed that I was in my house, when suddenly someone walked past the window. I went to open the back door, which was the direction the person had walked, and upon opening it, I discovered a dead animal. However, before I could examine it closer, I woke up. Barely a second after I woke up, I saw someone walk past my window. Freaked out, I hesitated but eventually gathered up the courage to go open the back door. And what was lying there? the front half of a cat. I never found out who did that.
