I think I could totally be in this competition, I average 3 recalled dreams per night.

KristaNicole, I'd say that your first and third entries were full dreams. The last one was definitely a dream, and in the first one there's more than one action/thought, so I'll give it to you. I'm changing your score to 2.5, if you don't mind.

For purposes of this game, how about we say that a fragment is only one thing, like a picture, a person, or a location. If you only have a vague concept of something but don't really remembered what happened, we'll call that a fragment. Anything with a plot or sequence can be counted as a full dream.

Also, lucids dreams will count as 2. Since that's really the goal, they should be more important than regular dreams. If you want to change the number, feel free to suggest a different value and we can discuss it.

I'm going to join, but I don't keep a DJ. I will just put a brief description of my dreams. Also, since I'm on every other week, when I get back I will post the number of dreams I remembered from when I was gone. If I can remember, I will post a quick description like normal.

AustralianFire, you submitted after the deadline, but I guess that's a little impractical because of the time zone issues. I'll let you slide because you're in Australia (I'm guessing you are, "lol") so you're not going to be on the same schedule as most competitors. Do you think two and a half hours after you submitted your 1/1/11 ones (that you be 6:00 EST the next day, I don't know what it would be in your time zone) would be a reasonable deadline?

Snowboy, you can't submit dreams from past days because the results would already be out and we'd have to change the rankings after they've been set. If you can only play every other week, maybe we could do something like double your score to see where you would have been? Still, we can't adjust scores for days you don't play because the whole point of this is to encourage people to record their dreams every single day.

2/1/2011: 2 dreams and 2 fragments (might be 3 fragments, but one of the fragments could be part of one of those dreams though I'm not sure, so I don't think it counts, so let's count them as just 2 fragments)

edit: Oh, I just read that we have to post the link to the DJ as well. Mine is not in English, it's a lot easier to write in my own language in the middle of the night so I don't post them on here, does it still count? Or should I still translate them?

That's fine, Scratch. I'm thinking about dropping the necessity to need a DJ altogether. We can trust each other, right? I'm not going to make you translate.

Besides, most people automatically have a link to their DJ beneath their avatar, so it's kind of redundant to post a link too. Still, I can't stress enough how important keeping a DJ is.

I do keep a DJ, and I write in the night or in the morning, and then before going to sleep I also write them in the computer (ugly handwriting).

I doubt anyone would cheat just to show off (DJ entries can be made up anyway XD), but for me this challenge would mean another reason to keep checking this forum every day and make sure I don't give up on LDing again. Or that I don't think "Ok, this night I'll sleep without waking up several times to remember my dreams", and if I do that once, then I keep doing it. So if I don't post here daily, hopefully someone will kick my ass so that I won't give up again. XD

Is that 6am or pm? i'll probably need that deadline (if that is the right time) due to the fact i won't be able to post untill 4:30pm GMT +11 when school starts back up

Anyway 2.1.11 (im in Australia, we log dates differently, just swap the month and day)
2 dreams 1 lucid

1st dream- I was in some shopping mall type place with a bunch of randoms who were friends ( i don't know them in real life but they were friends in the dream), it was big and confusing. We were playing on the lifts heaps, then one of the friends pressed a button and the lift went sideways, and we ended in a co-ed lavatory, and it was weird (their was more to it then that but their just my notes)

2nd dream- I was snowboarding and skiing at the Remarkables in New Zealand, they had built a new indoor section, my friend AC was their, so we chilled together, i was missing peaces of snow equipment. We were flying around in the indoor section when a guard got us and about 6 others in trouble saying "don't knock over the Russians" me and my friend the got lost in the non-snow section, the dream shortly ended

I am around Wollongong, my acquaintance SJ is with me, we walk into a pentecostal church, it was so funny i walked out laughing my head off, I realize i have no cloths on, and i start seeing friends. I'm Embarrassed and start wondering what to do, i then decide to restart the day. (for some reason i didn't become fully lucid). The day restarts and I'm back in Wollongong walking next to SJ again, i get annoyed because i don't want to be with her and restart the day again . The day restarts and i finally start questioning things, i look at my hands and their fine. But then i just realize I'm dreaming, and i take the skies, and jump on top of a building, i jump/ fly from building to building. I try jumping without super powers (i don't know why i did this, i got goals!) i miss the building and grab the ledge, I'm stuck and can't do anything, then the dream ends

AussieFire, I have no idea how to figure out what time you're at, but post #11 comes up as 3:30 AM in my time zone. Add two and a half hours to whatever time it says you made post #11 and that's your deadline. By the way, nice job on the lucid!
