      Do your dreams have conclusions?

I'm just curious if anyone's dreams have endings. Most of my dreams end without a conclusion. There will be a conflict and I really want to know how it gets solved, but the dream either switches or I wake up. Or one conflict will get solved but bring on another. Do any of your dreams come to a point where everything is resolved and there is an ending?
Now that I'm thinking about this though dreams don't really have a beginning either; they just start at a random point. Why do we only dream the middle of a particular train of thought?

It seems like mine sometimes end, not exactly in the middle, but not with a resolution of the quality you'd see in a movie or book. Maybe it's because of moves, books, etc. that we expect endings to feel really final, while the idea of a conclusion is sort of a manmade concept, and we shouldn't expect our minds to come up with them.

Problems are often solved in my dreams, though. Usually, they probably aren't, but I can think of a good number of them that do have conclusions of some sort. One recently involved two people torturing some old man in an underground cavern. A hero guy then came and tried to save the old man, but the torturers threw him out of the building. But then he came back all epicly and killed them. I think the dream ended there or went onto something else. That's a conclusion, I think.

I'll have a few dreams where I'll be trying to get somwhere and I make it there. So there's kind of an ending there. But most of my dreams get cut off half way though the dream.
Every passing minute is another chance to turn it all around.

Mine don't ever seem to have conclusions. I either wake up or the scene changes.

Well I have had a few dreams that had endings before. The only dreams that Ive had that had endings were dreams that I went to sleep at the end of the dream though.
I accept that my reality is always a dream so if something changes I know I'm right.

Sounds like this is common. Its weird that with how much TV and movies get watched, that do have endings, our brain doesn't pick up on that and follow suit. I wonder if our brain doesn't produce and ending on purpose, or if it just can't tell when the dream is going to switch and when it should end. Its too bad when I have a dream when something really cool is about to happen and then I just find my self awake in bed. I guess I need to learn how to incubate dreams.

Mine tend to "end". Either that, or it's a sort of cliff-hanger. You want to know what happens, but your mind just goes "Nope, sorry, I'm ending it here."

So yes, I feel as though my dreams conclude in a way. When I'm typing them into my DJ, it's always weird at the end because I really feel finished. I like it actually, it's one of the reasons why I write my entries in short story form.

Sometimes waking up is like part of the dream. One time I had a dream that I was to write a new Bible. A big plug was stuck into the back of my head, I felt a surge of energy through my body and I woke up. As I woke up I thought it was like I was being sent to another plane of existence.
And last night I had a lucid dream (so maybe it doesn't count). Something creepy was happening around me so I attempted to spin and go somewhere else. It made me wake up. And I thought, being awake is somewhere else.

These are not actually conclusions, but more like the dreams continued by transitioning into waking life.
My waking life and dreams don't have conclusions. They just continue.

Nope. No beginnings either...It sucks when I'm having a really exciting dream, and I just wake up or the scene changes just when things we're starting to get really interesting...
