Cool Am I Immune to Dream Drama?

My dreams are never fast paced or actiony, just calm, slow, and pretty. They are given the opportunity to be more action packed often though, I just reject it.

Tonight gave me a good example. I'm in this huge house, the owner is a real big guy who was in the military, his daughter says he was about to check if I did something and then kill me, I told her I didn't do that thing he was checking for so it didn't matter. So I'm walking back to my car with her, she's treating it like a getaway while I'm strolling. We get to the car and she shouts, "oh no he got the sniper out!" I look over, he has a sniper, whatever, I don't care. Get in the car, drive away, dream ends.

My dreams kind of adapt to this attitude though. If I had saw him with the sniper and panicked I'm sure it would have begun a shootout, but when I thought about how much I didn't care, he just walked away.

Hmm from what I have read I guess maybe it has got to do with how you react to things in real life. Not saying you wouldn't panic when someone takes out a rifle in real life, but I am guessing the way you react in dreams reflects your inner state. Perhaps you are pretty calm and composed in real life?

I've got an idea but I'm not sure will it work. Try facing your fears in real life and your dreams might start becoming more action packed and panicky.

I think it must have to do with a mind set and expectations. I also wonder how much your choice of entertainment and video games matters. I have the same thing in my dreams. The scene and DC will try to involve me in some crazy plot, maybe involving bad guys, and I will often just teleport away or refuse to take part.
Peace Be With You. Oh, and sure, The Force too, why not.

I must say, Aeolus, you remind me of my son. He often talks the same way using the same words, and approaches a lot of things like a video game.

In real life I suspect it would be different.

Here's a question...have you ever fired a real rifle? Have you visited a shooting range?

Experiencing the sound and feel (plus the smell) might change your outlook or help with reaction.

No, I've never been near a real gun. I have played with BB guns with friends though.

I don't watch television that much and if I am it's probably travel channel. Also I've been stepping away from videogames, I haven't played games seriously for half a year, especially not violent ones.

Yeah I try to be calm in real life also, and when visualizing dreamscapes for hope of attaining lucidity they are usually quiet, calm areas. My biggest fear in real life is height, and I'd rather not face it

      Thank you all
