      Night Hallucinations

I've just recently decided to start looking into this, but it's something that has affected me over many years. I am not on any kind of medication, I do not take drugs or drink alcohol.

This problem seems to affect me more when I'm under lots of stress but over the past 3 weeks I've not really been under stress, however I am currently living in an apartment that I'm not familiar with and doing a job for the summer.

Don't get me wrong I actually find these entertaining considering I find dreams fascinating, and this is no different. For an example last night I was sleeping and one of the occurrences I had last night I heard a woman's voice saying come here I need your help. I sat up to see a woman in my doorway using her finger to beckon me. I got up and swung my feet to the side of the bed and I just sat there looking at the ground. I remember sitting there in bed just trying to figure out what was going on. I knew something didn't feel right but I couldn't figure out why.

At that moment my wife (who obviously knows I have issues with sleep walking and stuff) said to me, "what are you doing?" Right then I snapped out of it and realized what was going on.

Another one of them that I remembered had to do with bugs that were crawling all over me. I was holding my blanket trying to contain them so they wouldn't bite me or get all over the bed.

Anyway... anyone else experience these types of things?

So you see things while sleep walking or do you just dream of sleep walking and seeing things?

It's so hard to explain. It's as if I'm awake and everything is in fact happening to me in the real world and I can interact with these things that are "in my dream" but in the physical world.
Like that woman in my room last night I remember when I was sitting there on the bed the reason I was looking at the ground was because I wanted to find a pair of shorts to put on so she wouldn't see me in my boxers. That's when the thoughts came into my head that something wasn't quite right.

Similar to dream signs when you begin to realize that you're dreaming, it's that same feeling just before you fully realize that your in a dream... only for me I'm not in a dream it's a half-dream.

You were sleep walking and dreaming at the same time. It happens.

But not on a nightly basis. Now for the last 3 weeks it happens every night and multiple times throughout the night. It seems as every dream I have turns into one of these.

It happened to me last night. I dreamed a man broke into my house, was standing over my bed and then kissed my ear. When he kissed my ear I woke up, and I saw a figure standing by my bed! I was in a panic. My heart pounded and my chest hurt. It's not the first time. I don't mind nightly visitors, but the fright of waking to someone (or the appearance of someone) in the room does give me chest pains.

Slightly worse than this, was a few years ago I had a recurrent dream of choking. It was so bad. I would dream I had nails or hair or plastic bits in my mouth. When I would try to spit them out, I would literally fling myself out of bed and land in the floor on my knees, spitting and trying to pull out whatever I thought was in my mouth. I would wake fully to find myself in the floor doing this. The first time my husband witnessed this behavior, it freaked him out. I never did find out what was causing this recurrent dream, but thankfully they have stopped. so I do understand where you're coming from!

You say your wife is aware of this....are you referring to a behavior? It's unclear from your post if you are actually getting up and moving.

If you are moving while asleep (the sleepwalking you mentioned) it could be an indicator of a sleep issue that needs attention. Some are simple breathing issues and some are more complex and involve the chemicals normally designed to suppress motor-function while asleep.

Might be a good idea to write down the incidents and how describe what happens, both in the dream and in reality. You might find patterns that could help determine how to handle this.

Hmmm... So you are a sleepwalker... Probably you are experiencing sleep paralysis hallucinations, but since you don't get paralysed normally, you can walk around during them..
      I realize that i'm dreaming.

I'm sorry if I was not clear, but yes I do get up and walk around and interact with my dreams in the physical world. (Sleep Walk).
The last couple nights I've not had any incidents at all, to much my surprise. It's funny you mention the sleep paralysis because I can stay aware of my surrounding while allowing my body fall into sleep paralysis. Though in the above cases I was not trying to become lucid. These sleep walking dreams hallucinations, or what ever they are, have never happened when I was lucid. Although that might be interesting.
