Why don't I have false awakenings?

      Hello everyone ,
I just wanted to ask if its normal to have had at least 10-15 lucid dreams but not have any FA's. Personally I would really like to get them because its basically a free lucidity pass because all you need to do is reality check when you wake up. So this is going to be a strange one, can you actually increase and have more FA's by method? Also is there anyone else out there that has not had a single FA.
Thanks everyone this forum has been a huge help for me

I can't recall the last time I had a false awakening but I have had a few lucid dreams. I'm not sure if you could intentionally give yourself a false awakening. Possibly a mantra of some sort.

I've had a semi-false awakening. I woke up in a double bed in my living room. Or well, I was woken up by a girl saying "We are dreaming" that is. Already then I knew I was dreaming, so perhaps it wasn't so "false". There are actually mantras for promoting FA's. One possible mantra is basically "I will wake up in a dream". I recommend you go have a look at "Naiya's Simple MILD Technique" here: http://www.dreamviews.com/f12/naiyas...hnique-119050/

I was just about to post a thread similar to this one!

Awhile ago I stumbled upon this timer created by "lucidology 101" or something like that. Anyways, this timer wakes you up after a certain amount of time and it keeps going off after 15 minutes so your body can't reach deep sleep and it encourages A TON of FAs! The first night I used it I quit using it because when I woke up for real I had already woken up 5 times in my dreams and I was seriously questioning reality the rest of the day hahaha!

FA's are basically scene changes within a dream where you lose awareness right?
Don't know if you can induce something like that by will.
You could try to close your eyes during an LD and want to be in your bed when you open them, but that wouldn't be the same I guess.

An FA is when you dream of waking up in your bed. That is why people recommend to do a RC before getting out of bed every morning because there is a chance that you are actually dreaming!

You don't necessary get a FA when your lucid ends, it happens sometimes to me but not all the times. I don't know how to increase your FA counts but perhaps you can try inducing scenes of yourself waking up in the morning, it might make you dream about FA more often.
