Unhappy Disappointment within the dream world

Some months ago I stopped "training" my lucid capabilities, actually I have stopped nearly everything, it wasn't a good time in my life.

In my last lucid dream, I have met Chad, my dream guide, and he wanted to tell me something really important, but I woke up prematurely from that dream. After a DEILD, I could manage to see him, but he was more trying to make me re-enter my dream than telling me this "important thing".

Since then, I have had stopped doing RC's, I have stopped being mindful, I even stopped doing the things I love, my lifestyle slipped away from my hands...

After some time (6 months or so) I started again looking into lucid dreaming from time to time, and I got an email about an interview with a guy that is a LDer (if you wanna watch it heres the link: clickity click here) and how he met his dream guide.

Chad!, I have forgotten completely about him, he looked worried last time we have met! Maybe he even wanted to warn me about what could happen. I even shed a tear when I remembered it.

So I started improving my dream recall, bought myself a new journal to start clean with a DJ, formatting it correctly etc...

      And I went to sleep.

First dream (non-lucid): Someone who looks exactly like Chad (brain, oh you...) is teaching me how to do a RC. I wake up.
Second dream (non-lucid): A really old-looking Chad looks at me with a disappointed face, like wanting to tell me: Why you stopped?

      What do you guys think?

TL;DR: I have abandoned everything due to depression, including my dream guide, now he is disappointed with me after 6 months.

yeah well, you seem to be committed to start over again. this is a good thing and there are always pitfalls in life. the important thing is to always stand up again and learn from that experience.

and even if your chad seem to be disappointed. he is still there and is not gone. when someone gets someone gets unimportant to me and i just stop care i am not disappointed and i am not around why should i bother? i just dont care.
but the more important someone is to me the more i try the more i might get angry or disappointed but i am there and try my best!

so do your best to get back on track and learn from it.

another thought: since you me or one dont know what chad exactly is another entity in some plane or maybe an facette of yourself or maybe "just a advanced DC" --> might be that you are disappointed in yourself?!
in the end it does not change the result. it is: get back on your feet and start improving yourself

Sounds like you're really passionated about this, and when you stop doing what you're passionate about, you're not completely happy - therefore the disappointed face in the dream. (I guess)

Thank you guys, I think that all of you are right, lucid dreaming gives a lot to learn from, and as always, it's not the result of the trip, it's the trip itself what makes us learn and enjoy the ride.

yea I've learned that even in dreams you don't always get what you want... and sometimes you wake up feeling like dammit that was totally not what I wanted or beating yourself up over not having better control. It is indeed about the journey though and just experiencing/learning. Lucid dreaming is the ultimate virtual reality game and it's very rewarding because it's not something you can just pop in and experience, there's randomness to it, but there are also things you can do to make it more frequent.
