Thread: Are reappearing dream characters, dream guides?

Hello there, fellow dreamers!

This question has been in my mind lately because recently a dream character has been frequently reappearing in my dreams, almost everynight.
So does this mean he could be my dream guide? Did your dream guide do the same thing by coming to your dreams frequently?

Just because it reappears doesn't make it your guide. A dream guide is basically a helpful dream character. But
it seem like a good opportunity to have it helpfully guide you if you want it to.^w^ So I say go for it and make it your helpful dream character/dream guide.

Also my dream guide did appear frequently. It was easy to connect with my dream guide Eye more than with my other guide Dawn. But I believe that is probably because I had more success with Eye than with Dawn. Dawn was also not helpful many times. XD

Oh! So reappearing dream characters don't necessarily mean they're dream guides but we can make them our dream guide if we wanted to...

There really is sort of a gray area. A recurring DC may not necessarily be a dream guide, but they may still be a personification or representation of something in your life, and exist to educate you of that. Where a dream guide will teach you how to control your dreams and possibly offer spiritual guidance, these characters will not. This doesn't mean that they can't teach you more about yourself and what they represent by how you interact with them, they just will not do so directly.

Well, you're right about that! Hmm, I guess the only way for me to find out is to ask him if he is my dream guide or not, right?

Gotta remember is dream guide is a term that we created. I call a dream guide a recurring character that helps you get accustomed to the dream world. I have a few of them. Then again I have also had someone come up and tell me that they are my dream guide, I told them to leave because it was a friend of mine and I didn't want them to be my DG. Haha. I also have recurring non helpful characters and some recurring characters that are just kinda there, not in a negative or positive way.
