Thread: what is the first dream you can remember

It was freaky! It was about a Gorilla. it was a stormy night. In the background I SWEAR I kept hearing SUCK A MONKEY'S NIPPLE!

Thats my only childhood dream i could ever recall. It was reoccuring. I remember being scared shitless when i was in the dream.

So did you suck the monkey's nipple or what?

I actually didn't. It was a mans voice and i just see a butt-nekkid Gorilla. Very frightening i tell you.

i remember a dream i had when i was 4
i was walking around egypt in a pharohs skirt and headdress thing, then i see a black panther sitting on a spinx hand and i start to have a conversation with it, at the end of the convo. i say your going to kill me and eat me arent you he says yes and i say im going to run, then i run and he follows then we're inthe jungle and thats all i remeber.
this dream was awesome when i was a little kid i found it invigorating and i loved the conversation i had with the panther cause it was an intelligent conversation, and i wasnt 4 inthe dream i was like my age now so i guess i liked the dream of me being taller inthe future, even tho im way more swole than i was in the dream now.

The earliest dreams I remember are nightmares, either being dragged into a swamp or locked in a dark house where everything i touch sprouts eyeballs.

I was standing on the edge of a deep canyon, and there's probably 15 feet to the other side. Then I lose my footing and fall into the river down below, only the river is full of Crayola crayons (I know for a fact they were Crayola because anyone who was anyone in first grade had to have the 64 pack of Crayola crayons with the sharpener on the back). For the most part they were deep purple, red, and navy blue crayons, but there were a few beige crayons as well.

I also used to have this recurring nightmare in which I would wake up (false awakening), go into the living room where both my mom and dad would yell at me and tell me to go back into my room, go back to my room, lay down in my bed, and then something would grab my feet and pull me under the bed. It was scary as fuck, but I haven't had one in ages.

My first dream was about being trapped on top of a roof, very close to my house. A fire engine came and rescued me. I was 4 years old back then.

The next dream I can remember is where things start to get strange.

The first dream I can recall is also the earliest memory I have of learning the difference btw dreams and reality! I must have been around 2 or 3. I dreamt that my father was sitting on the sofa in the living room, sketching under his drawing lamp while watching TV. As he was talking, he was gesticulating with his hand, which was a perfectly flesh-toned pig foot. I clearly recall the next day wondering "does dad have hands or pig hooves?" and checking to see. I really would not have been surprised to see hooves, that's how young & mushy-brained I was! I was just like "oh, hands. hmm." and that was the end of it.

I don't remember many of my early dreams. I remember remembering them, but I don't remember what they were. =/

The first dream that I remember was a chain dream. One night I would be running around in circles from 3 alligators (they were walking, whatever you call it) near our playground. The other, hiding behind my bed with the alligators staring at me. This is the only dream that I remember from my old old house. It was a pattern like this for a couple of days.

My first dreams are from age 5. I am at home, my brothers push me into the dark rooms in our apartment there we lived that time. When I go to the window I see a man that is skiing in the snow on the street. I was very afraid of the dark room and especially of the man that was outside on the steet.

hmm the first dream that I can remember would either be a memory of a cliff that I went across or a dream I had of a faceless dog in some type of evil laboratory.

I think the dream I've always remembered as my first dream occurred when I was two. I was out in the garden and made too much noise. I saw an evil being jumping over the fences in the gardens in my road to reach me and punish me for making too much noise.

I also felt his presence sometimes in real life. I'm sure I was about two because I can remember lying awake in bed scared that he would get me and I had a song in my brain all night that was number one in the charts then.

My first dream I remember is I was in hell, there was fire all around me, and evil black shadowy demons were laughing at me. I woke up, and cried for my mom, and she came and asked what's with me, and I couldn't answer, I kept crying instead . Lol, yeah...

Earliest I remember was a recurring dream I had a lot. I was stuck in a phone booth and a meteor was coming to kill me. I tried to close my eyes, ears, and nose at the same time to wake myself up. Sadly when this happened I didn't know about lucid dreaming or changing your dreams.

The first dream i had was when i was pretty young maybe 3 or 5 , i remember climbing out of my crib and up to my window where there was a red elephant toy which started floating out of my room where it then changed into a stick, as it floated down my stairs i was no longer in my house but in my nans.
really vivid.
I also remember one where all these diapers in a shop window would transform into hairy hands and chase me around a shopping centre.

It's funny you ask this, cause this is one of the dreams i think about often and have never forgot.

I was about 3/4 (Same age in dream) and in a shoe shop wearing a blue dress, white cardie and matching white sandles. In this shop is Michael Jackson (I know it sounds weird but i started off early as an MJ obbsessee lol) and he comes in, with a shoe box and bends down and gives it to me. I can even remember his outfit.

Weirdly random but there you go

hmmmm... It was either the one where this French rabbit man kept harassing me, or the one where a giant plastic bear ate me.

After reading these posts, i noticed that the dreams you could remember from back in the day, much of the % it would be some sort of nightmare or scary dream. Anyone wanna elaborate?
It only makes sense, humans tend to remember the bad verse the good memories.

The earliest dream I remember was when I was 4. I dreamed that I was in my grandmother's bathroom, and where the toilet was supposed to be, was a stove with a skillet, and in the skillet was my nephew's head, but he didn't seem to be burning and he could talk. It was my uncle who put him there. Also there was a urinal (I had never seen a urinal), and in it there was a baby, like it was a baby seat. I can't remember at the moment what anyone said.

I woke up afraid, so I got my Candy Land game and played it beside my parents bedroom door.

I remember this dream where I had sleep paralysis and shadowy black figures floated into my hands to haunting music, waving their hands above their heads as though they were praising something.

I wonder if kids have more nightmares than adults. It seems likely. After all, for the child the subconscious is still developing and there's a lot of inexpressible anxiety.

The first dream I remember when was Jurassic Park Just came out. So I must have been four or five years old. I dreamt about Dinosaurs in a train. I was there too and they invited me to come dancing on the train's roof. So I danced and played all night with the dinosaurs on the roof of the train. I had a lot of fun in that dream.

Sadly enough my little brother had seen the movie too and had nightmares for almost two weeks.

I remember a dream about some witch that wanted to kill me and me and some other kids from my school were hiding inside costumes on a store. But the witch cut my dad's arm... i dont remember anything else.
