I'd keep a notepad by your bed so you can at least write down the basic ideas of the dream. Then later, that may help you to remember all of the details. |

I have been waking up after a dream & thinking to myself that I will remember it all in detail. I have been having dreams in great detail for over a week & waking up with it fully in my mind. It is so strong when I wake, that I think to myself, there is no way I can forget it. I am so tired, I can't write it down. But it is so strong in my mind at the time that I think I will remember it. It is usually around 4am when I seem to wake up from the dream. |

Like Drokens said, having a notepad or notebook handy by your bed helps so that you don't have to get out of bed or move around a lot to write them down. Or if you're really tired, just writing important details down that would help you remember the dream later helps too. Maybe there is a specific place, event, or conversation that happened. Sometimes the really specific details are what are forgotten first, so getting those written down sooner rather than later is better. |

Thank you both |

I keep a notepad by my bed for this reason. Even if I'm too tired to write them down in detail, outlining the dream's key points is usually enough to jog my memory when I wake up. |
