      First Time Attaining Lucidity!!!

So recently I have become very interested in Lucid Dreaming, I always have been but recently I have started to repeat a mantra "I will remember my dreams and lucid dream" and I have a kept a dream journal. At the beginning of my journey I was skeptical about keeping a DJ and the whole process but I stuck with it and within the past few days my dream recall has drastically increased.

Well anyways lets get to the good stuff...

So today I woke up with about 6 1/2- 7 hours of sleep. I was still pretty tired due to work and doing a lot of running around. Well since I'm moving in about a month I had to move about 30 boxes from my main floor to the basement which left me exhausted, so I laid down in my bed without getting under any covers and slowly drifted off. I had a dream and woke up in about 30 mins (estimate) I had excellent recall of the dream but didn't record it in my DJ and decided to go back to sleep to see if I could become lucid. Well I drifted off again in the same manner as before and had another dream only to awake to realize I didn't attain lucidity but still had excellent recall. After this I became a little frustrated and was to determined to become lucid, so I laid back down without recording the previous dream in my DJ, turned off a lamp on my nightstand which was on for some reason and constantly repeated in my head that I was going to become lucid. As I was doing this I once again slowly drifted off into dreamland... but this time I realized what was happening and that I was falling asleep. All of a sudden I awoke outside beside my friend as we were walking and I knew that I had attained Lucidity. After this my dream became extremely vivid to the point where sometimes I could not tell if it was real or a dream. I tried to control many things (Making giant waves come over mountains, changing my physical appearance e.t.c) but nothing really worked.

All in all I'm extremely happy that I became lucid and have lost all skepticism that I had before.. I really hope to become Lucid sometime again soon

Good times, Rubix. First lucid is a lot of fun and quite motivating. Keep it up, and you'll be taking control of all sorts of things soon. Glad to see the work paying off for you. It's definitely worth it.

Thanks guys, and Feynaro you are correct haha I have become extremely motivated and all I want to do is sleep now. I really hope that I continue to have Lucids as soon as possible and I am hoping to become a valued member on dream views and become a skilled Lucid dreamer.
