I've tried loads of times to WILD straight away when going to bed but have never achieved it, but there could be a slight workaround if you're prepared to spend an hour or so getting a nap before your usual bedtime.
Here's what I did, first off, if you usually go to bed around 11:00pm try getting an hours nap about 9:00pm. Set 2 alarms, one to go off at 10:00pm and one for 10:30 - 10:45pm.
When the first alarm wakes you, quickly turn it off without too much movement and try and WILD from that point on, if nothing happens and you fall asleep without reaching lucidity then it'll only be 30-45 minutes before you wake up again from the 2nd alarm, that way you won't end up ruining the rest of your nights sleep. You then want to go to bed for your full nights sleep a couple of hours after that point, this too gives you another chance to WILD again.

The idea here I guess is to get yourself into the first REM phase as quickly as you can and I've practised a little in the past with this and I know I can reach REM inside an hour and have managed SP plus vibrations etc after that, but haven't quite been able to enter the dream directly.
