Are you keeping a journal? I've been keeping one for about the past... 4 days or so? I have to admit, it's working. My dreams are more vivid, i'm recalling about three dreams per night (although my recall was good to begin with). But I remember so much more details. I feel so close... I just something to set it off |
|
Yeah, keeping a journal is essential to the process. |

I agree with this. I find that many of my non-lucid dreams can be very rewarding as well. Dream consciousness is not just a matter of knowing or not knowing that you are dreaming. It is being generally more aware of the dreaming and waking state. I've found that my regular dreams have become more realistic and wonderful since I started practicing lucid dreaming. This is because I've started to pay a lot more attention to all of my dreams. Continue to write down your dreams and remember that you can take something out of each and every dream that you have. Dreams, irrespective of lucidity, are powerful experiences. |

While sleeping, watch.
Maybe I should copy my dream journal to the forum so while i rewrite them i gain more motivation and i can look for dream signs in them. |
|
Keep it up, man. |
|
I just finished transferring some more dreams from my DJ to the DV's DJ. |
|
I had so much trouble trying to remember my dreams that my Dream Journal was left neglected for weeks at a time. Any dreams I happened to remember were very confused, weak and mixed up, as though they'd been put though a dream shredder!!! |

I still write my dreams every day, when I had a dream, I lay in my bed thinking of them and then i put some keywords in my ipod, and when I go to bed, that day, i write them in my DJ, and i usually remember almost the whole dream that i remembered that morning. |

Per Dr. LaBerge's book, I think it's understated that you can't just write the dream down and never reflect upon it again. Why don't you try creating lists of dream signs. Go through all of you dreams and underline all of the dream signs. Then create categories for the dreams signs and categorize them. Use inner awareness (personal feelings), action (things you or characters do), form (you shape, characters shape, or object/setting shape. Also if you're someone else), and context (People and things in strange places, or you're someplace you wouldn't be). Like I said, this is from LaBerge's book so a more detailed look can be found there, but it's useful because it gets you really thinking about dream signs on a inquisitive level. |

I was always a dreamer, in childhood especially. People thought I was a little strange.-Charley pride

Well i have never recalled. I'm also new since i joined on the 19th July. The first 2 nights i recalled vividly. The past 2 nights i haven't recalled anything but i'm sure i'm somehow improving, so I think i'm going to try CAT and after 2 weeks try join the DVA =) |

Don't lose hope! It is good to remember that your LD will most likely occur near the beginning of deep sleep. Your brain goes from Alpha (relaxed) to Theta (daydreamy) to Delta (sleep) brainwaves. It is in the Theta brainwave state that you can will yourself to a lucid dream. Try to visualize a particular scenario while in the Theta brainwave state. P.S. You are probably having more then 1 dream a night... you just can't recall the others. Whatever you do , don't take sleeping pills. That will almost assure you of no LD. |
|
nothing works anymore, I just wanted to write down the 3 dreams that i remember from this morning, so i look at the keywords in my ipod, and it seems that i have again forgotten a dream. i had the same problem yesterday, i looked at my keywords and there were some that i couldn't remember |

Yes you have to write some keywords on a piece of paper during the night...(enough so you can remember your dream) And you have to copy them as soon as you can in the morning. |

Nights in a row with atleast 1 Lucid Dream: 3
Most dreams remembered in 1 night: 16
Dreams recalled: 1308
Yeah, write them in the morning. Every time I write at evening or night, my recall will be all messed up (it's not that great already, even that I write dreams every day). |
|
I find that as soon as I wake up from a dream, it helps if I write it down (in detail) straight away. Sure, it's the last thing I want to do but once my lamp's on and I've got a pen in my hand it's actually kind of nice |
|
Use a voice recorder...That's what i do now. Won't wake me up too much and still be very detailed. |

Theres too much here for me to bother to read through, but have you tried a different method? Sometimes it takes a while to find something that works for you. |
