      So i thought i was still sleeping turns out i wasn't

      So i had a nap in an attempt to lucid dream... failed but i woke up went back to bed and in my dream my friend was talking to me while i was trying to sleep my eyes were closed and im like "dude get out of here im trying to sleep" then I realised my friend wasnt there and that it was a dream.

      What was that? a false awakening and how can i recognize that im dreaming when that occurs... Thanks in advance

      here i thought this thread was going to be about how you thought you were lucid dreaming stepped into your parents bedroom and turned on the light and woke them up and said "I'm Dreaming!! this is a dream!" then your parents are like "WTF!!! are you on drugs?" haha! that would be funny!

      Well, just start by doing the RC as soon as you remember, that way it will become easier and easier to do it as you wake up.
