When you sleep, the logic centers of your brain go to sleep, too. Not thinking logically is the greatest inhibitor to lucid dreaming. If you insist on DILD, try getting in the habit of RCing during the day. RC at certain triggers, cues, or events that show up in your dreams regularly. It will take time to work...LDing takes patience to get the hang of. Keep trying, and it will eventually work. If you aren't seeing the results you desire after some time, go ahead and try a different method. Naiya's MILD and Mzzkc's WILD are two techniques I recommend looking into.
