      FA/WILD thing

Last night I had a really cool experience. Iv never been close to WILDing before, I can never get into sleep paralysis. But last night I thought I had woken up from a dream. I actualy had a false awakening and on the roof of my bedrom was a big timer counting down from 1000. I stayed still and relaxed and the numbers on the timer were going crazy and then I started falling deep down into my bed, it was an amazing feeling and I was so stoaked I thought I was gona have my first WILD (I didnt really realise I was still dreaming haha) and then everything went black and I woke up.

I really wish I could WILD. Iv read a lot of tutorials and such but it normaly takes me quite a while to get to sleep and I think this is what makes it hard. If I could acualy get to sleep paralysis im sure I would be fine but Its getting to that stage which never happens. This was only a dream but if it were real im sure I wouldnt wake up in this type of situation because I can always keep very calm. Ahh hopefully I get their one day!

I've only had 2 sleep paralysis experience intentionally.
One was semi (only temporarily and i broke free kinda easy, because it was in the evening and lights were shining in front of my eyes through my curtains).
The other one happened VERY easy.
I was asleep in a bed and my cousins were playing chess, doing their thing. And i would be disturbed and woken up. At this moment i was pretty tired, sleeping and then exiting out due to the noise. And after it happened multiple time i knew i should take my chances to try out for WILD (i didn't move and knew i could fall asleep in seconds.).
I wasn't tired before or anything, in fact i slept for 12 hour before.

So i think you need some continuous disturbance to help you get wild pretty easy (i think this is called a DEILD).

Ferret, Are you only trying to Wild at night when first going to bed, because this typically does not work for anyone.. WILD is about 10 times more successful when doing it in the middle of the night after about 4-5 hours of sleep.. you wake up, stay up 10-45 mins, then wild back to sleep.... this method is called Wake Back to bed.. look into it and you will probably have your first wild soon

Hey yea nah I know all about WILD and WBTB. It takes me a long time to get to sleep whether its at the start of the night or when I wake up in the morning. This is what makes it very difficlut to WBTB for me bacuse im lying in bed for so long before I manage to get to sleep.

well you either wake up to wbtb with less hours of sleep, and/or stay up less time when you do. There is always a sweet spot for wild and once you find it, your in it to win it lol.. but seriously, if you have trouble going back to sleep after 7 hours of sleep, change it to 5 and see how it does, if your staying up too long for wbtb (say 45 mins), then instead stay up 10, or even 5... Experiment a little with it and you will find a sweet setup for you personally.

Cool, the same happened to me last night, but I was able to WILD inside the FA!

WILD from a FA (?): I was dreaming I had woken up in my bed (FA) and I tried to fall asleep (in the dream) and enter a lucid dream. I was focusing on the image of a mirror to use as a portal. Just as if I were awake, I went through the process of trying to sleep for a while. I was seeing the image clearer, then weakened, then stronger again, then I almost woke up... Then I decided to cover my eyes with my sleeping mask, because there was some light in the (dream) room coming through the window and that might have been the reason why I was not falling asleep easily. I finally managed to fall asleep (inside the dream) and immediately went into a dream....
[I only realized this part had been a dream when much later I woke up from my LDs and saw that I had never put my sleeping mask on. It was still on the drawer.]
I then had a LD, as expected.
