stupid question about eyelids

'To do this close your eyes while going to sleep for the night. Spend about a minute looking at the backs of your eyelids. Over time you should start to instantly recognize, even when groggy and half-awake, that your eyes are closed and that is a signal that you have just woken from a dream.'

How do I look at the back of my eyelid? Just close my eyes and focus on the darkness?
or actually try to look backwards with my eyes closed?

Yeah, you basically close your eyelids and focus on them (aka the blackness).

Thats weird, when I close my eyelids, I dont see blackness, but colors that are vibrating at a pretty intense frequency, at first it is orangish, keeping focus it changes into blue, rarely I see purple perhaps from the mixture of orange and blue and very rarely I see green.

I am pretty sure everybody sees these colors, when I see hypnagogic imagery, they form from these colors, the best word to describe would be pixels.
