Try looking for a sign that isn't as common. For example, when you dream of your school, do you dream of inside or outside? If inside, any particular landmarks that are always there? Any people who are always there? If you can narrow the sign to something very specific or out-of-place, you'll be more likely to remember that it is indeed a dream sign and thus you will be able to do a reality check.
      .
I don't usually think, therefore I mostly am not.

Likewise, you cant teach some one who looks for facts to have faith in the absence of facts.

You don't assume it's a dream, you check if it's a dream. Do a reality check or something. Once I had like my third ld I just stopped doing reality checks and just felt how the place I was at felt now compared to how it feels in a dream.

but yea, don't assume it's a dream, ask yourself "Am I dreaming?", do some checks, and then, make the decision. Do this even if you are 100% sure you are not dreaming, because when you are dreaming, you are also 100% sure you're not dreaming lol.
      I'm batman in my dreams.

For me I don't do reality checks until after I become lucid cause before hand I think that I'm awake in physical life I would tell u to try wbtb method for some reason this techniques allows u to think somewhat critically and determine wether or not your sleeping.

Well my friend i hate to get up at 2 3, 4 in the morning but for me the benefits of having a full on lucid dream and connecting with my higherself are huge 2 me, so i make that sacrifice. wbtb has worked for me, not saying it will work for u, just that it might if u try. there are other techniques like deild where you dont have to physically get up out of bed. But at the end of the day if you want to lucid dream sometimes u have to sacrifice and go out of your way to figure out how you work in the world of lucid dreaming. hope this helps namaste

yeah i'd totally sacrifice a few hours of sleep to lucid dream, but the problem is that i just don't wake up :S. I remember that, a long time ago, i've tried to wake up at 4am or something like that (with an alarm clock) to take some medicines and i just woke up 9am on the other day, with the alarm clock still ringing
I guess it happens because of school...it makes me REALLY tired.

It takes time bro you'll figure it out when u get a small inkling of success with lucid dreaming you can run with that and perfect it. wbtb works for me but i still have to tweak it a bit sometimes 3am works for me other nights 2am wake up call works gd. so find what works and play around with it until you can start having theses ld's every night and start perfecting with in the astral dreamscape
