Question How could I have one tonight?

How can I speed it up a bit? I am patient but I have been trying to have a lucid for almost a week and im starting to get a bit desperate as everyone i know (not kidding!) has had one except me! Here are my questions:
      1. What is the easiest/fastest technique to use?
      2. How do I do that technique?
      3. I have an app on my iPhone and when you sleep it says stuff like: "You are dreaming." and "Do a reality check." while I sleep. Would this help?

      Thanks

      1. There is no fastest. It's all individual. I'm sure you don't like the answer but that's the way it is. The fastest way is to believe in yourself 100% and get alot of sleep. WBTB's seems to be effective for me.

      2. Get up after 4½-6 hours of sleep. Stay up for 20-40 ish minutes and go back to bed with firm intentions of getting lucid.

      3. I doubt it. It would probably disturb your sleep.

This isn't a hobby for the impatient. You have to accept the fact that it takes a while to learn. The first one might get you hooked though Good lucK!

Oooh I thought if you are tired, you are more likely to get a dream! Thanks!
When I do a WBTB do i have to do another technique when im going back to sleep or just go to sleep like normal?

Time and persistance is really what you need. A week isn't that long, really; just stick with it. It's not something you can rush; as long as you're being diligent about your dream journal and any other techniques you're using, it's just going to take some time.

I keep a dream journal, but sometimes I can't remember my dreams or only little selections.

Write down everything. Even if you can't remember anything that night, write down your thoughts before and after waking. Matte is right too, a week isn't very long at all. You shouldn't get impatient because it will only make it harder. Also, confidence is the best. I tell myself every night that I will have a lucid but if you know what I'm talking about, you still have doubt deep down. Well, the night I got my first, I knew I'd have one. 100% certain. It's because I was in a different place and no one would wake me up that day so I was 100% certain that I'd have a lucid because of the different circumstances. I can feel, deep down that I know I'll have a lucid if I spend the night where I was again. It might not even be true but it's good to believe without any doubt that you will.

Don't give up, it's worth the effort!
