      Ion, your point is very valid but I think you should look at the bigger picture. At least 200 of my lucids have come from using the technique that the OP described, although yes, it's not necessarily the "questioning things and trying to logic through events" part that makes you lucid. However, when you ask questions and think about things like that in waking life, it also increases your general awareness because you're looking at everything around you. And that awareness is what actually causes the lucids, as you've said. The method just has to be interpreted a bit further to include awareness.
