Video game is Ruining my lucids?

Hey guys, so about a week or two ago I bought this game called minecraft and I have been playing it alot and I have realized it has pretty much ruined the quality of my LD's. If anyone has ever played this game it they know it is all pixelated and that is what happened to my LD's. Lately I have not focused quit as much on lucid dreams so my recall has gone down. Is the game the reason for my weird boxy dreams or is it my lack of effort and recall? Either way can somone teach my how to fix it without stopping the game. If it helps I'm DILDing and using DEILD to get about 4 more that night. Could it be somthing with the method? Please help because my LD's are pretty bad at the moment! Thanks for the help.

I know playing games effects my dreams a bit. I've had a few minecraft dreams too. Maybe you could do something else interesting before going to bed to turn your thoughts away from the game? That could work.

Well, I sometimes have things from Video games appearing in my dreams. But only once was I actually IN a video game. Generally only bits and pieces appear, like weapons, characters or fragments of locations.

What I could recommend is doing something else before going to bed. Play the game any other time of day, but in the few hours leading up to bedtime, avoid doing things that involve screens. (The one exception I might make is coming to this site for a few moments.) If it cannot be avoided, minimize your time. I've had screen-view dreams. They're annoying and boring.

You could also try meditating to relieve yourself of the thoughts of the game. In a short sense, sit still, let your thoughts come, and imagine putting them into a box/treasure chest. Then as you finish, lock the box, then, burn it or put it into a river to float away. If you find more Mine craft thoughts popping into your head as you fall asleep...well, you got an endless supply of Imaginary boxes.

      I agree.
But this can happen with anything that you like to do. Video games, movies, anime, etc.
If you spend a lot of time on something you will eventually start dreaming about it.
A little while ago I was also pretty much addicted to a game, and after a while I had a couple of dreams that took place inside that game.

You will probably have dreams of playing the game but that doesn't mean every single lucid you have willl look like the game. Eventualy you will get lucid in a dream about something else I'm sure. you also might be causing it to happen by expecting all your lucids to be pixly. If you just believe your lucids will be pefectly clear, vivid and realistic they will. Givng some more effort to recall wont hurt either.

My guess would be that this will eventually go away on its own.
Sometimes I dream about games that I haven't played for years.

Just give it some time to let it stop happening so often. I'd also recommend keeping your minecrafting to a small amount. When I first started playing it I had 3 pixel-boxy dreams in one night but now I don't play it as much and I haven't had one in a long time.

Been playing the Sims recently, found myself "queing up actions" for 4-5 different persons within me as part of my hypnagoic imagery. This could get quite distracting, seems like meditation sorted it out ^^
