I want to get back into lding , need help

Hey guys im looking to get back into lucid dreaming . I regret ever trying to stop but the stress of school just got in the way. Im just wondering if anybody can give me some tips on how to start and how to have lding on my mind throughout the day. I am going to start recording my dreams in a dj starting tonight. Any tips guys?
      Thanks in advance.

      Hi shaun95,

If you find it hard to remember to do reality checks, be sure to get a few sticky notes and post them everywhere in your house, mainly at your bedside, the washroom, and the kitchen because those are the places you most commonly go to. Also, get into the mindset of really asking whether you're dreaming or not - be mindful of what's around you, and give reasons as to why you don't think you're dreaming (then counter them with something like "if I was dreaming, then the walls would look different"). Dream journaling is definitely important, so keep that up!
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

To add to what Puffin said, being on DV even for a few minutes throughout the day can help keep LDing on your mind, while still just hanging out and having some fun.

I had this issue, 2 after joining, I sorta stopped caring about DV and LDing, i was just bleh. After 3 months things got better, and in January I got back into DV, I haven't left since then. It took a while to get re motivated for LDing, but it happened after having another random lucid dream. Just try not to stress about it, that's the key, don't over work yourself. LDs will come easier and easier after each one you have good luck!

Hey man, I too just started back up 3 days ago. And I also stopped for the same reason as you. I too regret ever stopping. I just started up reality checks and my dream journal. Those are the too things ive been starting back up with. Reality checks are difficult to start back up, but give it a few days. And just wanted to say good luck to you!
You see things and say, 'Why?", but I dream things and say, 'Why not?

As a wise, green midget once said... "Do or do not. There is no try." Your problem is your "wanting", therefore you'll always be in a state of wanting. Have confidence in yourself, and you will never fall.

Check out Naiyas MILD tutorial. It'll be perfect for your position. I'm in the same one.

Yeah I just started again too. It's weird, I don't have much of a clear reason for why I care about it again. One thing that drives me is trying to find out how it can help a person in their waking life - the therapeutic effects of lucid dreaming. Another part of me just wants to fly again...

Back when I used to have lucid dreams every night, I used to meditate like crazy, and I'm pretty sure there's some kind of systematic causation between the two. So I've taken up a regular meditation practice again. So I guess that would be my recommendation.
