So I finally have my first lucid after a dry spell! - and it vanishes :(

I had no lucid's for about two weeeks.
But the one I had last week just faded out as soon as it happend. I don't understand. I was calm, and my other lucid's were all fine. I have no explanation for it? The only thing I can say that could have done it was that I was at a 21st last night, and I had a bit of alcahol. But that affects recall, not dreaming?

Hmmm did you do any dream stabilysation techniques? Like rubbing your hands or watch closely to your hands, things that keep you connected to your dream?

For me when a lucid dream fades really quickly its usually because I excidentally focus on my real body or my bed or things like that, which wake me up almost instantly.

I always do, but I didn't have the time to anyway. As soon as it dawned on me, It blacked out.

Maybe it was just the end of your REM.

Well, no matter how good your lucids have been, you're pretty much bound to have a couple of short lucids sometimes. It's nothing to worry about.

Nothing to worry about. Some lucids are short, some long.

Hmmm...well if alcohol affects recall, maybe you were lucid more than you thought that night.
