Happens all the time. However, I tend to have a bad relationship with food in dreams. Whenever I eat in a dream I get a very foul taste in my mouth (probably from swallowing saliva). That taste carries over to the dream giving me the sensation that the food I ate was awful.

I have experienced touch on several occasions in lucid dreams. One time I went to jump out of a window when I realized I was lucid. Initially I was not able to pass through the window, and I noticed the cold wet feeling that the window produced on my skin.

I can't recall experiencing taste though. That would be pretty cool.

I recently had a dream in which I could feel pain. In that dream my right hand got crushed, and when I woke up I had a really bad pain in my right hand. The more I woke up, the more the pain went away. That was a pretty strange experience.
I don't know if the pain I felt carried over from my dream to reality, or was caused by something in the real world and carried over to my dream.
I don't remember ever being able to taste something in my dreams. But before I kept a dream journal I rarely had a vivid dream.

I have feelings in LDs all the time. I cut myself with a sword, ate chips and have been punched and it all feels real.

My sense of touch in a lucid dream is impeccable; it's often much better than my vision. I've tasted different foods in dreams, all of which tasted very good, maybe even better than the real thing. Tasted items include a hot dog, maraschino cherry, chocolate cake... I've yet to try something that turns out to taste like poo, but it's all about expectations.

And yeah, I've felt pain (more times than I care to count, but hey, it can happen to anyone if the dream is a nightmare or it refuses to cooperate).
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

      Pain in dreams

I had a dream once where I was in the middle of a street, with cars passing by. I couldn't remember how I got there but for some reason I was not in full control of my actions.

That's when I laid down in the middle of the road and let a smart car run over my arm.
The pain was enough to wake me up as I realised I was on my side- on my arm. I realised the pain had come from me putting all of my pressure on it.

But for some reason the pain had felt all too real... not that I have ever let THAT happen before in real life

Wow I had a dream a lot like that just last night. I think I was Clint Eastwood, and I was fighting with Sean Penn - the fighting consisted of grappling and our flesh was like bologna - you could just squeeze right through it without much trouble. We were squeezing off each others arms, legs heads etc... it was horrible! Then suddenly i was sitting on a doctor's table with a transfusion needle in my arm and watched as all my blood started to go out of my body up the tube. I realized they were taking way too much blood, and just as I started to get up and try to stop it I grew weak really fast and passed out. Next I was in a different dream scenario and I saw a family of patchwork people... their bodies had been stitched together from bits and pieces of different people... some black some white etc... really bad mismatch!

And I knew it was Sean Penn's family, and I felt terrible for what I had done to him (them?). Then I woke up with my neck and arm in a really weird and painful position, cutting off my circulation.
