      Wink Omg finally lucid :D

so yea the title says it all. I was home from school today and went back to the bed for some sleep. Guess what happens

i Have been trying this for about 3 weeks, but i was only doing Dream checks the first, so yea i gave up after a week. I am glad that i finally got a lucid dream, without any sort of preparation/training.

So the dream starts out with me and my family, also 1 of my dogs. The dog starts to chasing something and jumps up on a really high tree. And of some reason, i wanted it to be a teddybear, like that was a natural thing to say. The dog doesn't become a bear BUT in some way i get that its a dream. I look at my hands, but i already knew that i was dreaming. So yea i don't get too excited and just 4 seconds later the whole world fills with the face of the joker (Batman). i get scared and decide to just wake up. When im awake i feel dumb, nothing can hurt me in my dreams! So i decided to fall asleep again, AND IT WORKS. There i am, lucid directly from beginning I play minecraft a lot, so i like spawned in a cave, i get really excited and spawn a bazooka to just shoot something. Then i understand that i dont want to be here, i need to spawn in a big flat grassland! But something happens, and a sign pops up and ask me which aircraft i want to use, i just take one of them. Then i wake up

      Some questions:
      1. i got two lucids the first time, is that normal?
      2. When i was in the dream i could feel the whole body vibrating, especially the tounge, is that normal?
      3. Do you belive me?
      4. Should i try to train a method? Or just go with the flow like i did this time?

Welcome to Dream Views, Micke, and congratulations on your first two lucid dreams!

      To answer your questions:

      1) Sure. It can be. The fact that you woke up and went back to sleep really upped your chances. The Wake-Back-To-Bed Method is very helpful, and is my most successful technique (besides spontaneous lucidity).

      2) It might have just been anxiety. There are a lot of strange 'bodily' sensations that can happen in the dream state, even while lucid. You might have also been feeling the 'tingles' from sleep paralysis. There could be a few possibilities for this one, so I don't know how easy it would be to get a single, sure answer.

      3) No reason not to.

      4) Sometimes it's taking a break from trying so hard, that gives people their first lucid dream or breaks a dry spell. As far as specific methods, I would say stick with experimenting with WBTB, since it seemed to work for you. Also, start working on your waking-world awareness (noticing when things are strange; doing reality checks; backtracking events to make sure you remember the timeline from when you woke up; truly questioning your state). That should help you have more frequent 'spontaneous' lucids, like your first one.

I would also recommend starting up a dream journal here. It will prove to be a very valuable tool for you, going forward.

Once again, welcome! If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask around.

lol awesome dream, on to questions.
      1. Sure why not, not so rare since you are already in a "lucid mood" so to speak.
      2. Many people report vibrations during SP, your body is paralyzed during the lucid so even if not normal, it isn't weird either.
3.Who cares? So long as you can believe yourself, it doesn't matters.
      4. Whatever floats your boat/is more convenient for you, you might as well start getting natural lucids without a method, who knows?

Hey! An O' beat me to it <.<

      1. i got two lucids the first time, is that normal?

It's normal but not too common. I normally have 1 lucid dream every night, but coupled with DEILD I can get like many more.

      2. When i was in the dream i could feel the whole body vibrating, especially the tounge, is that normal?

      Vibrational state in SP?

      3. Do you belive me?

      Nah you're a troll.

      4. Should i try to train a method? Or just go with the flow like i did this time?

Read some guides on induction techniques and pick one.

      P.S - Just kidding about the 3.

SP - Sleep paralysis. When you're sleeping, your brain shuts down your muscles so that you don't "act out" your dreams and accidently hurt yourself.

Also, congrats on the lucid dreams!

Sometimes when you wake up, it takes a few seconds for your brain to "reconnect" your muscles. You may panic when you realize that you can't move. This sensation feels like a weight on you. Some people incorrectly associate this sensation with a ghost or alien or other being holding them down in bed, but it's really just their brain hesitating to turn their movement systems back on.
