Often when I am in a non-lucid dream, but with awareness creaping into my conciousness slowly but surely, the dream will quickly become more interesting. I may be unwillingly chased, given delicious food, or a number of other things such as being surrounded by beautiful women. However, when the opportunity to become lucid arrives, I am distracted and my fuzzy logic goes along the lines of "If I were lucid I would be doing this anyway, there is no point." As a result the opportunity for lucidity has been passed up, and as I settle into lower awareness the beautiful women and delicious food disappear, and I go into a dream I would gladly exchange for a lucid. It almost seems like my mind is trying to lure me away from a lucid and then rub it in my face afterwards, but I'm trying to make it into a lesson to become lucid whenever the chance arises even if the non-lucid seems good enough as is. Does this happen in anyone else's dreams?
