First of all, I'm really sorry to hear about your dad, I know what it's like to lose a family member.
As for your question, you're most likely in sp, experiencing hallucinations. That's the only thing I can think off

Yes, like Yuppie said, we all have hallucinations (auditory and visual) as we're falling asleep. I've heard everyday noises as clear as if they were right there (like the sound my computer makes when it turns on -- silly things, I know). When I'm aware of them they usually startle me more awake but I've never been one to feel stuck in SP (although I gather this is normal but can be scary). I imagine that since you've just had a traumatic experince, a natural phenomenon has turned into a unpleasant helpless feeling experience. Know what it is, read more about the science of it if that helps, know that it can't harm you and that you have the power of snapping out of it when it happens again. Good luck

I agree with the others, it sounds like a SP.
Because you hear them now, is maybe because you're still sad. Like people can have nightmares, maybe people can have SPs with whispers? I don't know.

Have you ever talked with someone about it? If not, I think you should. Maybe it would help.
By the way, I'm sorry to hear about it.

Special thanks to Darkmatters for my signature picture.

Sorry to hear that happened =c

As for the whisper maybe you could when you're in bed with closed eyes, repeat to yourself a few times that you are gonna ask that voice that you can't hear it and stuff, to confront it (If you can't already?) That would be one more idea to add onto what everyone else said. I'm just saying that because I used to tell myself stuff before going to lucid dream before and I would usually do those stuff in the dream...so might be the same?

Try to talk to your counselor after school or before school, if possible.
SP stands for Sleep Paralysis. Your body goes into SP every night when you dream so your body doesn't move.
