Is flying all there is? What else can you do when lucid dreaming?

      Hi there

I don't wanna brag on here but I get Lucid alot of times. Whenever I get lucid I usually just lift off and fly, when I was young I couldn't fly that well and as I grew up and had more flying dreams I started getting better and better at flying. I found using my arms and hands helped alot in controlling speed and flight. Now I'm very good at flying. It is a skill you learn over time.
But all I do is just fly around, do tricks and interact with imaginary people. What other things can you do in Lucid. I heard you can open up portals to other worlds but I haven't been able to materialize things that I want in my dream. I have been able to teleport into another building though, that was interesting but not much fun.

Running out of ideas. What can you do?

I read that and its funny, I don't feel like kicking Chuck Norris and Justin biebers ass. And in anycase I don't have good skill to materialize things like this in dreams.

I'm looking for serious discussion on lucid dream skills that you can build on like flying.

You could try shapeshifting. or summoning those are kinda like skills.
You could start summoning by imagining something is behind the corner or a door.
Or by asking where someone is.
Well I hope you find something nice to do.

Invulnerability is one of the coolest things you can do in terms of having powers. You can hurl yourself off cliffs and flips cars, stuff like that, without being hurt. You can get into pretty much any kind of creative situation. How about manipulating the earth, raising continents, or controlling water/fire?

There's actually some pretty cool ideas in the 1000 Things to Do in an LD thread; if you continue reading, you're bound to find something!

read some fantasy books or do things from your favorite show or movie. Do all the things you always wanted to do. Explore some areas like dungeons, caves, cities, other worlds, etc. Make up your own characters and make up a story. Keep with the plot of the dream before you got lucid.

(Not quite sure about how to shapeshift, maybe you should try to change your bodyparts first, before going to full body shapeshifting.)
I was also thinking about walking away from the car with it blowing up behind and looking AWESOME.

Nice, Finlander! Epic explosions rock... B)

Exploration's always fun, too. It's incredibly fascinating to just see the details of objects and people, looking to see which features or textures something is missing or includes... Even the most trivial of things can be observed, like flowers and dust bunnies (2 things I've looked closely at before). Look at something and see if its appearance changes when you command the dream to do something to it, like "make X clearer" or "make X a different color".

In terms of favourites I've found slow motion, angel wings (new!) and telekinesis the best! And yeah I agree Exploration is pretty cool, although I find things tend to surprise me and wake me up .

Anything you want. Laws of physics no longer apply. You make your own physics. You could walk straight up through the air while you turn into a turtle.

I have a large goal list if you want to poach it: Lucid Dream Goals - Dream Journals - Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views

You could find your dream guide. You don't need to attach any spiritual or religious meaning to it. It is a fascinating experience to conjure up something in a dream that is supposed to be wiser and more powerful than yourself and to try and learn from it. It is a good thing to look into.

You can eat something that is non-edible. It is pretty cool to see how your mind creates tastes and textures.

Instead of flying you can try free falling, it is exhilarating

There is no end to interesting things that DC's may say to you if you speak with them. But it is definitely something that you need to practice to get good results at. It is difficult to remember dialogue and they become more realistic and interesting the more you spend time with them.

Telekinesis is very fun and takes a lot of practice (like flying) to get good at. Same with controlling the elements (fire, water, wind, earth)

Becoming insubstantial and morphing objects/people is challenging and interesting

Try speaking a language that you really don't know

The most fun thing to do could be to try and make a DC reoccurring. Meet up with them in every dream and explore/have fun with them.

Then of course there are things like astral projection, OBE's, remote viewing, precognition, and shared dreaming you could explore and try to see if they are real for yourself.

O wow, a whole lot of things. Materializing them is a different schematic, but it is doable. How do you think we got radio and TV and internet?

Sure, but this is a fairly tall task. What you are talking about is bringing dreams into materialization, am I correct? Dangerous zone.

I'm not sure what you mean. You talking about bringing these skills into the real world?
