      Writing Down My Dreams Problem

I struggle each morning writing down my dreams. I don't have too much time in the morning as it is, so for me finding time to write my dreams is quite hard.

I am also quite a slow writer so I changed to writing down my dreams on my ipod and i am just abit faster. It takes me about 15mins - 30mins to write down my dreams i have throughout the night and this is way too long. If i dont go into too much detail it takes about 15mins but if I do it is about 30 mins.

How do you write down your dreams? Also is there any way I can make this process quicker? Finally, how much detail do you go into when you write down your dreams?

I don't go into every detail, but it usually takes me 10-15 minutes to write down my dreams. I use it as a memory jogger to make sure I don't completely forget what happened, I don't use it as something I'll be able to analyse a few years onwards.
I'd say wake up earlier to make time for yourself to write your dreams down, and go to sleep earlier as well to compensate for this.
As a last resort you could maybe not write them down when straight away when you wake up, but remember your dreams and really burn them into your memory when you wake up and then write them down properly when you have time

      Good luck!

Instead of writing down your dreams you could try recording them! If for example your phone has a recorder it should be fairly easy. And you can write them down later when you have time.

YES! I shall record them. Then write them down later at night. Because before I go to sleep at night I would think 'Right i will wake up 15 minutes earlier to record my dream' BUT when the morning comes I just think to myself who cares about recording my dreams. I am very bad at waking up in the morning.

You could also just write notes and write down the full dream once you get enough time.

I'm a lazy writter and have natural recall, so could easily write like 30 pages/day, of course I choose just to put whatever will make me remember and make the 30 pages into just half a page or 1 at much, though I also tend to take out some dreams when journaling...

Thanks, I have tried the notes before. I find that a little hard as I will easily forget the details which happens between one note and another whereas if i speak my dream out with all the details. I can quickly write it in on my computer or ipod later without forgetting anything which i important to the dream

Oh ok, wonder if your voice sounds funny because of just waking up?
Maybe I will try the ipod thing sometime.

Yep recorded my dream with a voice recorder it will probably be the way I use through weekdays and at weekends I will just record normally. I had about 7 dreams last night and I was waking up after each one. By the sixth one I went over in my head all of the six dreams and could remember them all but when i woke up for good after my seventh one I could only remember 3.

Hahah I'm familiar with that. Anyway, nice if the recording will work for you.

I usually jot down important details in my phone's notepad as quickly as possible, especially quotes I can remember because they're few and far between and easily forgotten for me. Takes about 5 minutes for a dream or two depending on how detailed they were. Then whenever I have time I'll write up a full report on my computer or touchpad. Sometimes I'll wake up between dreams and put them in the phone, it really helps if you can do that and still get back to sleep.

I won't use the recorder mostly because I hate hearing my own voice, but if it works
