      Your first lucid dream? :)

      Hello.
This thread is mainly for those who have had a lucid dream many years ago, maby when you where a kid and did not know what lucid dreaming was. I thought it could be funny to hear how you experienced it.

      I can start off:
I was about ten years old and had a dream where I was in Egypt. I suddenly realized I was dreaming, but instead of doing awesome things, I got very scared. I thought I was trapped in the dream forever. I walked among the pyramids shouting towards the sky: "WAKE UP, WAKE UP!!" but nothing happened.
So I sat down at the base of a pyramid, looking out on the scenery and thought "what am I going to do now??".
I suddenly got the idea that killing myself would maby do the trick. So I jumped into some quicksand and woke up.

To this day (13 years after) I still remember how clear the dream was. And I was 100% lucid. I'm really glad I had that experience because when I earlier this year stubled upon the fantastic world of Lucid dreaming through this site, I knew right from the start that I could do it. (And I had finally got an explenation of what happened that night so long ago. )
      My top goals:
      [X] Have a lucid dream
      [X] Be a na'vi on Pandora
      [ ] Ride a dragon
      [ ] Fly
[ ] Ride the most awesome rollercoaster

My first lucid dream was honestly unexciting and REALLY short. I was on a dock of some kind and saw my neighbor walking towards me. I then realized I was in a dream and all of a sudden I started to wake up. I drifted into the sky and my neighbor put his hand out to try and stop me from waking up. I woke up anyway

I experienced my first lucid dream when I was in my single-digits. I was in this large labyrinth that had tall, solid-colored walls (almost like a dulled Tron theme) with a bunch of my old school friends. At some point, I realized I was dreaming, and I kept telling my friends that we were in a dream, but they wouldn't believe me. Wasn't aware of the lucid-dreaming concept until I was 11.

I had my first lucid dream when I was around 6 years old. I remember in the dream, I was inside my elementary school, the only difference being it looked as if i was in some sort of crypt, or tomb or something. Next thing i know, a tyrannosaurus rex seems to appear out of nowhere, and proceeds to chase me down the halls of the school\crypt. I don't quite remember how, but eventually I made it outside. I believe this is when i became lucid, I remember seeing my friends at one corner of the playground, there were sandbags all around them, so i decided to go over there, I remember telling one of my friends that he was dreaming. He turned to me and said "I know" And that's about all i remember

My first was when I was no less than 11. I'd watched part of Waking Life, the one where they mention the lightswitch test. (Also, ironically, I slept through most of the movie)

A few weeks later I had a dream where I was in the school gym. In most of my dreams at that time I used to fuck anything that moves, but this dream was quite realistic, uncannily so. I flicked the lightswitch, nothing happened, and I continued with my perverted intentions.

I'm aware that that particular RC doesn't actually work.

Can't really remember the first time, had a lot of them when I was little, but the first I remember is one that I dreamt when I was around 4-5 years old. I was in kindergarten, playing and I suddenly knew that it was a dream. didn't do much, though, didn't know that I could controll it XD

I also had a lucid in a desert when I was about 9-10! I thought that I could bring things with me from the dream, so I took a jar full of candy and covered myself in sand, and woke up. Disappointed...

My first lucid (which I can remember) was rather dim. My brother and his 1 year old son had turned evil and were chasing me through some kind of museum. I opened a door and ran past what seemed to be isles of glass cabinets - then suddenly I realised it was all a dream. My vision was greatly hindered and dim, but I could hold my nose without breathing and all sorts and thought it was amazing. I woke up shortly after getting lucid.

I can also remember a certain something from some of my childhood dreams, however; mainly nightmares. I trained myself to pinch myself when things were going bad because I knew it would wake me up. I have no idea how - I just did.

I still remember this lucid dream from when I was only 4 years old.

The sky was a furious red. Animals were fleeing from all directions. Volcanoes were erupting everywhere. I was a triceratops and I was running but from a different threat. I was being chased by a T-rex and I could not shake him off. I remember crossing a bridge and the bridge collapsed and I fell into the lava. There was a flashing white light and there was some sort of dream scene change. I remember seeing an old man reading a group of kids a story while sitting in a brown leather chair.

I had lucid dreams like every night back then. Oh how much fun I would have had if I knew I could do anything in them.

My first lucid was conquering my recurring nightmares where I made myself hidden in the grass, not a very imaginative method.

My first lucid dream was only one second long.

I was pointing at somekind of chair, then I realized I was dreaming, and continued to point at the chair, all while the LD faded faster then the speed of light, thus making myself wake up.
      Goodnight Galvatron,

All I can remember dreaming about when I was a kid was werewolves, kind of like what was depicted in Underworld actually, but was never afraid of them, it was like we were cool together and would hang out all the time.

But the dream that set everything off for me in the lucid world where I actually learned what it was, would be when I opened my bedroom door, and looking out, everything was the same as usual. Then a large blast went off and I shut my eyes, feeling the heat and wind from the blast, then when I opened my eyes, the floor of my hallway became an old time bridge, like the damn thing would have fallen apart if a fly farted on it, and the left wall became nothing but fire, and the right wall became nothing but the sky as if I was looking at it from cloud level. I could feel the heat burning my skin on the left, and the clouds begging me to jump into them. Instead it became a WTF moment and I just stared into them for a long time, wondering if I'd see anything like Satan or God, but nothing appeared and I woke up sweating my sack off.

I was sitting at a table with some guy with a HUGE afro. I realized none of my friends have afros, so I did a reality check. I got excited and started to fling the guy around with my mind. Then I woke up.
You can totally hear the excitement in my voice when I say this story...
Not the most interesting dream I've ever had haha.
      Me, "Why are you crying?"
DC, "People won't be my friend because I'm ugly."
Me, "Well I will be your friend... I guess."
DC, "Ewww no! Your ugly too."

My first lucid dream has been a great motivator for me. I can remember it very clearly.

I was in a cave or mine. Darth vader was there looking over some very poor looking people. They were all wearing rags. He told them that they would either eat poisonous food or starve to death. He started locking them in rooms with metal doors. Then he turned towards me. Got out his light saber, turned it on and cut my head off.
My disembodied head rolled into a really deep chasm. As I fell I saw an assembly line that was making people out of organs, muscles and bones, stitching them together like a Frankenstein or something. When I reached the bottom, I was dissolving in acid. It would have been another second before I died and woke up from a standard nightmare.
"This has GOT to be a dream"
My body was back. I blasted a sonic wave that I rode out of the chasm into the main part of the cave. Darth vader turned to face me. I fired a beam of white energy at him. He tried to defect it with his light saber, but he got blasted clear out of the cave. I lost lucidity at this point but it was so cool to be so powerful. I lost lucidity and It would take too long to describe the rest of the dream.

Also I was never actually scared of Darth vader, before or after the dream. This was about 7 years ago so I was probably 8.
