      Dream types

Previously i had heard that if you drink apple juice and some other fruit juice it tends to give you dreams where your in a movie and it seems to be true for me anyway.

So concidering that every night you almost have a diffrrent dream in a diffrent scenario does anyone know of a way were you can have more realistic, real life dreams, then the crazy ones? what dictates what sort of dream you will have as there must be something for the obviouse reason?

has anyone here done any research in that?

I can't speak for anyone else but here's my theory about what dictates your dreams. I think it has a lot to do with what happened to you in the past day or week, and what's weighing heavily on your mind. For example if you're constantly thinking about the new car you want, you will be more likely to dream about it. If things have been going badly for you that week and you're discouraged, you may dream that you get the car but then wreck it. If you've been staying at a friend's house, you may dream that you're at that house or stop by there, or that friend may appear in your dream.

I don't know that there's really a scientific way to predict what you'll dream about or what your surroundings will be but I think about it kind of like this. If I say I want you to write a story and then I tell you 5 words but the story doesn't need to have anything to do with those 5 words... Well just you thinking about the words probably had some sort of influence on what you write, whether it's obvious when reading the story or not. I think dreams are the same way, our daily lives and thoughts shape them but in the end they take their own direction.

Just my two cents. I'm interested to see what others have to say about this.

Well, its accepted that dreams are about things that go on through the day, but thats different with what shapes them.

I don't really know if there is anything definite that shapes them, for several years ALL my non-lucids started as a FA, followed by me going to have breakfast and then to go to school and then to have class, if it was a weekend instead of school I would play stuff, do you want that realisitc?

Dreams usually are created threw "day residue" which is what has happens in the past day or so. But that doesn't mean everything in dreams are from what has happed. Dreams consist of schemes, like a plot. So if u dream about fighting, your mind will pull up what it knows about fighting. The mind will then pull up a scheme, of let's say, a gun fight. You will now be in a gun fight. Again it will pull other things such as explosions and people dying. As for something you can take, there are a certain combination of pillar which are somewhat proven to increase dream recall and dream intensity. But takeing high doses over an extended period of time can lead to negative results. I am not sure what it is called at the moment, just google lucid dream pill.
