I had one Lucid Dream, now I want more...

      Hi All,

So I had my first Lucid Dream last night, but it was short, like less than 5 minutes. I'm just wondering what I can do tonight and today to increase my chances of having another, longer Lucid Dream. Thanks!

Note: This forum is for various technical topics about the forum, not actually lucid dreaming; This would be better off in general lucid or attaining lucidity.

As for your question the best way to get longer lucids is to have them. The more you have the longer they will last. For immediate effects though stabilizing the dream is another good way to lengthen lucid dreams. This is when you focus on the dream, most often by rubbing your hands, in order to anchor yourself in the dream. You can also try spinning as you feel the dream fading, this sometimes increases the length.

      Good luck!

Yeh wrong topic dude, anyway to increase your dream length you can start now! Tell yourself youre dreaming over and over, maintain that awareness of being in a dream now! see how long you can go for before you get distracted and you will realize how easy it is to be distracted in a dream!

But yeah, be content with your lucid for now, you've accomplished something amazing, an incredible feat! Your next lucid will come when the time is right

5 min is not short at all, especially for the first one Mine was 5 seconds. But yes, stabilizing might help. Also, they'll get longer, as you have more of them. But sometimes, when your dream starts when the REM is ending, your dream will end no matter what. You can learn how to get back into lucid dream when first one ends by DEILD method.

      Many happy dreams!
