First LD (That's over 5 seconds)!

The time has finally come, I've finally had a LD that didn't end the second I realised I was dreaming! :bravo:

I was playing a video game (in my dreams when I 'play' the video games I never actually dream myself and a screen, I dream the game only as if I am the character, maybe a point of discussion later). The level was in a small part of a city and it was deserted.I had just defeated a boss.

I thought to myself 'I want to play that level again' so I 'started' the level again and beat the boss, after that I was waiting for the score screen to come up (more or less expecting that to happen even though I was not looking at a screen, I was actually the character myself).

I started to glide while waiting for the score screen. While gliding I thought I'd try to change the direction that I'm gliding by pushing myself against a wall. I started gliding higher and higher. Then, as I was floating back downwards, I somehow realised I was dreaming. I don't actually remember how or what caused my to realise it, I just realised I was dreaming. I thought to myself with joy 'finally I have realised I am dreaming'. I can't describe the feeling of 'transferring' my senses to a dream body, it felt great.

After a minute or so while gliding down, I began to lose lucidity. I remembered how rubbing my hands together could stabilise the dream. But that wasn't working. So then I remembered how touching the dreamscape would also have the same effect, so I was rubbing my hands on the wall in front of me (I'm laughing to myself as I'm reading that last sentence to myself ), but I was still losing lucidity. Then I thought 'I could shout lucidity', but I was afraid that I was shout that IRL

My dream didn't turn back into a normal dream, it felt like it was turning more into a daydream... I was still aware that it wasn't a dream, but I didn't have control over my dream self and it didn't feel like a dream any more, I can't quite explain it. I think I may have been half awake then.

Anyway, I thought I would like to share this as this was my first 'proper' experience. Sorry if this is just a wall of text! One thing is bugging me though, in all my very short LDs and this LD I realised I was dreaming by chance, not due to reality checks or dream signs. How many of you have just realised you're dreaming without RCs and dreamsigns?

Oh cool experience. And most people realize without the RCs actually, the RC is just to enhance awareness and to confirm it is a dream.
Think I am one of the exceptions, since I need to do the RC in order to become lucid, but yeah what you have is the common.

Wow, congratulations. Good job trying to stabilize the dream. Sometimes it is just time for the dream to come to an end, and nothing we do can prevent it.

I was surprised because it was a while (at least a year) since I read about stabalizing. It's amaizing how the mind remembers things from a very long time ago. My next goal is to intentionally have a LD rather than having one by chance
