      Do people do this?

Has anyone ever become aware that they are dreaming and then just let the dream continue without intervening, I think it would be pretty cool

Never bored! Also, I started getting lucid at around 2003, the 4690 is just what I have journaled.
Not a natural, I had to practice my way up for lucidity.

I see. Do you have a lot of success with WBTB?

I don't WBTB, all I use is the common RC to get lucid. Though I was self taught and didn't discover it was named RC until I found the first dreaming forum.

Yeah I agree with Hukif. I even feel as if I wasted an LD if I don't do SOMEthing. However, sometimes I let the LD start itself a bit, rather than force a particular scenery. I never know how long the dream will last, so I don't want to spend the whole thing trying to create the world around me. So I let my subconscious create the setting and maybe some characters, then I take over.

      Cool topic.

      ps. Hi Hukif!

These are my favorite types of dreams. I like to let the dream play out, only intervening to steer a bit, keep things interesting, or react to situations. It is fun to watch your subconscious come up with crazy dream stuff. Being lucid means I can interpret it all as it is happening, like reading a good book or watching a movie.

I've never thought about it like that. But I've only had one lucid dream that I could control, the other two I just knew I was dreaming and woke up, so I don't have much experience with this. Is this a way to know what your subconscious is thinking? Sometimes I feel like I'm keeping secrets from myself, like I know something that I don't know or won't tell myself. It's hard to explain.

I like following the dream plot as it was when I became lucid, but using my new-found lucidity to use kick-ass dream powers to "win"

Damn! I'd kill to get as good as that! well, not really of course. But still.

Anyway, I never really do this, because I have so many things I want to do already. I also worry that I'll get swept up in the dream plot and lose lucidity, since that's happened a few times unintentionally. I'd try it if I ever had some lucids to spare.

      I know how you feel!

I'd kill to have some spare lucids myself

I try to do the same, seems like when I try to control things I either wake up or everything just goes blank and becomes stupid, nothing there nothing to do. Only once have I had a really hard core lucid dream where I did what I wanted in a dream world where everything continued with doing whatever I wanted to.

I tried to kick some math teachers a$$, I thought Id really whip that guy with my super man powers. That little guy got mean and nasty real quick.
