I've been quite sad as of late. When I heard about LDing about half a year ago I was very excited about the possibilities, and I jumped straight in to DILD. |

Had the same problem, actually.. I try to enjoy the self-awareness & meditation techniques and not consider them just a way of getting lucid. A good idea is to take a break off reality checking for a day.. or watch an inspiring film, or read a book that has something to do with LDing. (I'd recommend Waking Life if you haven't seen it) |

I don't even really remember to RC anymore much...it's practically taking te whole day off RCing already!...any tips for reminding? |

There's really not much anyone can do for you if you're not willing to be enthusiastic about lucid dreaming and put the effort in; it's a personal thing. Record dreams as soon as you can. Practice the techniques. Be persistent. |

Taking a break and not worrying about it for a little while might be a good idea. Perhaps you could pick two to three days out of your week that you will try a certain technique, and the rest of the week not worry about LDing? |

I'll tell you what keeps me going lucid dreaming sometimes. I think about all the other lucid dreamers out there who will have a lucid dream tonight, and how I hope to be one of them (there will be quite a few who succeed in getting lucid tonight). I don't know but it feels good to have a sense of belonging with fellow lucid dreamers, like I'm not alone on this, this is something other people would like, and I'm going to acheive it too. |

I think perhaps you're having what they call a recall slump. It's basically this annoying thing that happens to you where (sometimes explain-ably, sometimes not) you cannot recall dreams as well as before. Follow the advice in the other posts for how to better handle one, or just wait for the slump to blow over. |
|
Hey! I made a guide a WILD back you can view here. I hope it can help get you more motivated to work on your recall and lucid dream. Best of luck. |
|
Aw thanks everyone |

Also something I just remembered, since I've been having trouble with dream stabilization as well. A good way to make your dream body feel anchored to the dream is to look at your feet, I've yet to try it in awhile (just remembered it this morning), but I remembered it really helped me in the past, and I'm going to try it the next time I go lucid. |

Thanks... Wow, if your hands look so much different in dreams, what about bare feet? |

Why are you in a slump? Just because of no recall and no lucids? Or you don't have lucids because of you being in a slump for something else? Once you figure out, what's making you feel that way, you can start finding solutions. Make a list of things that bother you and try to rationalize, wheter it really is an issue and make a plan on fixing them. |
|
I can actually have about 2 lucids a week if I put my mind to it, but I just wake up soon after and don't really remember it. My lucids don't seem very lucid, if yo know what I mean |
|
It sounds from this that you certainly have the ability to do well. Sometimes I think it's good going if you get one lucid a week with average effort. (In my case, less! |

Have enthusiasm or you can say goodbye to lucid dreaming! |

I think it might really help to take a good long break and don't even think about it for a while. Just come back to it later after maybe about a week or so. |
|
Thanks for all the tips. I've been laying off the reality checking and haven't focused much on LDing, and although I haven't had any lucids, by dream recall is slowly increasing again |
