I was somehow blowing a buble with my mouth, and then a ear ringing explosion

So I have relaxing on my bed, doing some breathing techniques. I was slipping in and out, and my mouth was kind of open a little bit, well I had my jaw relaxed. I guess saliva had built up on my lips and was forming like forming a bubble. When that bubble popped however, I heard the LOUDEST banging noise in my head that I ever seen. Let me give you a little more details. The bubble was about to pop, but I was unaware, like I was kind of out of it, when it popped I seen in my head, well I seen with my eye lids closed and bright White and heard a loud BANG noise

      What the hell just happened?
I guess you could compare Lucid Dreams & Reality to a computer, the only difference between reality and a lucid dream is that one is stored on the Hard Drive and the other purely in RAM, if you don't try to remember it, you wont.

It is pretty common to hear loud noises when on the edge of sleep. I have heard some crazy stuff. Loud crashes, thunder, mechanical sounds (like an engine), screams, and more. These hallucinations are completely convincing.

Well Robot, you know whats weird it was right after the bubble (spit) popped, you know when you push spit to the front of your mouth and then blow a little, you hear that pop noise, well thats exactly what happened, right after that pop noise it was a loud bang, and I knew exactly it was probably the exploding head syndrome, but I also seen a bright flash, last time I had that exploding head syndrome, I never had the bright flash, pretty amazing too

Another thing I would like to key you guys on is, I been hearing what sound like wind, you ever open your window a sliver and you get that "swuhhhhhh" noise, I was hearing that, I am thinking it might be prerushing noise, but I might be wrong.

What you experienced were hallucinations, and even likely the spit bubble was a hallucination! These are called hypnogogic hallucinations, and occur during the onset of sleep paralysis.

As posted here, the loud BANG is pretty common, and is given the name 'exploding head syndrome', it's nothing to be worried about at all! The rushing noise is also very common too, and is just another hallucination from sleep paralysis. If you read up more about the WILD technique, you will find that your experience meant that you were quite close to transitioning straight into a lucid dream!

      Dear OneiroMoon

Wow, that is an interesting link. The info seems to encompass what might have happened to Typedef.

Wow, I get hipnagogs a lot. Now, after you reconning that they can preceed sleep paralysis, I will (expectantly) look for and wait for sleep paralysis when I become aware of my lovely hipnagogic imagery.

Cos I want to astral travel, (OBE) and that seems to happen directly out of sleep paralysis for those who can induce a good, deep, sleep paralysis.
