Yes it can. If you have experience with lucid dreaming in general it will make WILD easier. You will have already know what it feels like to be dreaming so it will make it easier to tell when you are entering the dream. As for MILD specifically I don't really know. I do know that failing WILD can often lead to a successful MILD. If you are wondering if its worth learning MILD and DILD along with WILD yes, I don't see any reason why you wouldn't. Its good to be well rounded because being able to DILD along with WILD means you will probably get success every once in a while regardless of how much effort you put in.

Hell yes! The standard place to learn all the LD skill set is in DILD. The term MILD is actually the technique used to get more DILDs. I would never catagorize a dream as being a MILD. Insteed I would call it a DILD that you had by using a MILD tecnique. The only other basic LD is WILD. Same thing a VILD or V-WILD are just techniques used in getting to a WILD dream. So in basic LD there is just DILD and WILD with all the others being ways to get there.
Using MILD most people can achieve many Dream Induced Lucid Dreams. It takes no meditative skill and works for anyone. WILD is an advanced meditation skill. It sounds cool, but if you are just starting you will not even know what to look for.
Learn to induce LDs by MILD primes the brain to the experience and open the way for WILD. Every one should be doing MILDs every day! Even advanced dreamers should be reprograming their brain actively during the day. ADA is practide to build awareness, mantras are repeated when going to sleep, telling yourself you will remember your dreams and so on will always be the core of a LD training program.
Will it literally help a WILD? Yes, if you can sometimes WILD and want to know if the DILD tools help, they do. ADA builds an ability to be aware of very subtle things and stay tuned into an aaware state at all times. After SP it helpss prevent you from drifting away into sleep. The mantras that are used in MILD are often part of the WILD process and so on.
