      Frustrating awakenings.How to stop them?

I've been lucid dreaming since last summer , i believe to this day i had over 300 1-2 minute long LDs.I have LDs almost every night and sometimes more than one.Having so much of them is really awesome for me, but the problem is.. no matter how well i stabilize my dream , when i start going somewhere i just instantly wake up.I do reality checks after that , but i'm always awake for sure, i rarely have FAs.

Every time i go lucid , i start examining my hands , then , after that i use some commands like "stabilize" or something like that. Then i start touching stuff , feeling the textures .Even tried crawling on the floor (Someone posted that this might work well for stabilization). But after that ,when i set off to do something, after a few seconds everything goes black and i wake up.

I'm not excited when i go lucid as this became like a daily routine for me lol,so excitement is not the cause of the awakenings , im sure.Any ideas how i could solve this problem?

Sounds like after so many attempts you became disinterested and started to believe that every dream will last 1-2 minutes.
It sounds cliché but maybe the solution is to believe more in yourself and, as Morpheus said, open your mind.
Have you tried meditating just as soon as you stabilise, before going anywhere? Some said that works.

      Sure it's here: http://www.dreamviews.com/f14/meditation-dream-130502/

Take a look at Mzzkc's Stabilization Fundamentals:
      http://www.dreamviews.com/f14/stabil...entals-116673/

But the whole idea is this: self-awareness.
Maybe you can try meditation in real life if you haven't already. The benefits are numerous. Good luck!

      Glad to help
Let me know how it works and remember NOT to close your eyes, as it tends to de-stabilise.
And also remember: you CAN do it, previous efforts don't influence the future! It's all in your head.

I used to have a lot of trouble staying asleep when I realized I was dreaming, and on occasion still do. I don't know if it would help at all, but for me when I realize I'm dreaming and feel myself starting to wake up I imagine a weird slow wave or frequency around me as I'm waking up, slow it down, and reverse it back into dreaming. Essentially telling myself over and over, "I'm dreaming and this is where I left off," and even though sometimes the dream has actually disappeared at this point (I see black) I keep telling myself I only closed my eyes and about to open them again in the dream and then DO and keep dreaming from there.

I suppose over all what I'm trying to say is I recognize the feeling of sleeping and dreaming and its difference from being awake... and have been fortunate enough to be able to see HOW it is I start to wake up and reverse it long enough to run around in my dream a long time. Also, what one of the other posters said about your dreams lasting only 1-2 minutes being something you expect is probably true. You'll probably need to change your personal idea of 'time' and how long you expect to be asleep. I expect my dreams to last for 'days' when I go to sleep and in dreamtime they do pretty often.

There are some people who want to get LD and you are fed up from LD’s.

I'm not fed up , it's just frustrating that i can't stay any longer than 1-2 minutes. What's the use of LD's if the only thing you do during it is look at your hands and touch random objects for a minute ?I know , i used to be so happy even if i go lucid , but you know , after having the same dream for 200 times ,it just stops being special. That's why i'm trying to solve this problem

Try this guide as well, the best imo http://www.dreamviews.com/f12/ninas-...torial-118317/
The 'linear acceleration' technique is particularly effective for me ^^

Just keep practicing. If you've got getting into the LD part down, you've done the hard part already. It comes with time and practice. I wish you luck-- there's lots of awesome stuff to do. I've been going to sleep lately thinking about a specific 'something' I want to do at night lately like fly or visit a certain place. Its helps a lot with how much time you have in the dream itself to know where you want to go or what you want to do ahead of time.
