How do I remember the emotions in my dreams?

For the last few LDs I've been having I remember all of the little physical and technical details of the dreams very well. This is good, but I feel like I'm missing the best part the dreams have to offer, the way I felt in them. I love the positive feelings I get after a good LD but I can never seem to retain how I felt in the dream for more than a few hours. Any advice or suggestions are appreciated.

Hi there, you say you can never retain what you feel in a dream for more than a few hours so write down your dream and feelings as soon as you wake from that dream you won't forget then

Often Im too lazy to do that. I say to myself, 'I'll definately remember this dream when I get up later!'

I go back to sleep immediately, get up later and say to myself, 'I can't for the life of me remember what that dream was about. Oh well.'

I can't remember the emotions of things I do in the real world. Rather, I really only remember whether it was a positive or negative experience, and some details of the event.

      Maybe I'm a robot.

Just work on your recall, sometimes it takes something huge such as standing on a tall cliff where you cant move or you'll fall, you'll get that sensation where you're about to die and you'll remember it.

We are too lazy to write the dreams but I think this is the best method.

I like to leave the opposite page of my dream journal blank. I will record the dream narrative on the right page, only. This leaves the entire left page open to make additional notes about emotions or additional details. It is not always obvious from the description, so I will make a note of which parts of the dreams were frightening, sad, erotic, or exhilarating, nostalgic, or whatever.
