Exclamation The DVA needs more teachers!

That's right, the Dream Views Academy is now open for applications!

We're in need of atleast two new teachers in the DVA and you can apply for the job in here! One person will take care of a WILD class and the other one a class free of choice. You will write your own classes from scratch, so if you have a class in mind you'd think would be fitting (like meditation for example) just go ahead and tell us about it in here.

      To apply.
      • A presentation of yourself including age.
      • How you can contribute to the DVA.
      • Why you're the best for the job.

That's it! Before you apply however, you need to make sure that your life isn't going to change radically within the next few months and that you will remain active once the class kicks off.

When enough applicants has applied I will send out PM's with further questions and instructions.

      Keep on dreaming!

Forceez just messaged me and though I may be interested. I think it may be a good way to work on getting more lucid by focusing a lot of attention into the subject while awake. I would definately consider a teaching position. So I will apply.

      1) I am a 41 year old male. I have a doctorate and work in a profession. I have a very high stress job, but I get 7 out of 14 days off. This would allow me plenty of time for being involved with Dreamviews. The other 7 days (never more than 3 in a row) I work 14 hours so internet time would be brief.
      2) I have been involved with dream yoga for many lifetimes, but in this one I started studying various mystical skills at age 10-12. Of course one of the first things I decided I should focus on was lucid dreaming. I read books and tried to figure it out. It took me from 15-17 before I had much luck. I got into deep mystical aspects of dreaming and other yogic skills. At around 23 I had made contact with other entities in the dream world,,, and so on,,, now it has been about 18 years of very intense stuff since then.
      3) I would be best for the job, because,,,, I should be able to teach about anything you may need or maybe suggest some and let people vote. Perhaps Energy work, Visualization training, Developing dream powers and control, contacting dream teachers, or a few other hobbies of mine.

      Okay, I’ll bite:

First, about me, though I’m guessing there will be nothing new here that hasn’t shown up in my posts: I have been actively lucid dreaming for over 35 years (I am f-f-f-fifty this year), and have arguably experienced/experimented with most of the subjects on this thread, like all of the ’ILD’s, dream-sharing, lucid aids, advanced LD’ing, and lucidity as a tool for other growth, like spiritual growth and self-awareness. I retired from a career in the publishing industry about eight years ago, and my work now is entirely dream-based, centered on writing (I have published three books to date, all sourced in my dream work) and pushing the envelope of lucid discovery. In other related experience, I moderated Stephen LaBerge’s Lucidity Institute forum for two years, and have used WILD/DEILD as my primary dream-induction tool since well before the term was invented.

How can I contribute to DVA? I suppose by adding my experience and interest in communicating the core priorities of successful lucid dreaming to your mix. I have been a lot of places during my decades of dream exploration, and many of those places were rich with details that could serve to help people just entering the world of lucid dreaming. I think I might also be able to add a dose of rational skepticism to the mix, as I am just as interested in proving to myself whether events I just experienced really happened, or whether they were illusory, as I am in the events themselves.

Why am I best for the job? Probably because, as WILD use has been a part of my life for so long, I can talk about it without mythologizing it, and would teach it as a valuable tool and not as an end in itself. This I think is important. In fact, it may be my pedestrian opinion of WILD -- that it is a step, and not an event -- that makes me uniquely qualified to teach its proper use. Though I might be “best” for this job, I might be even better at teaching a course in something like transcendental dreaming, or perhaps my version of dream yoga -- assuming of course that things like that can be taught. I also would do well in a course based on my Treatise on Proof thread, where dreamers learn to discern for themselves whether their dreams were lucid or not.

I hope that information was helpful. Let me know what you think.

I will put in a good word for Sageous. He is clearly a very intelligent person with years of experience. His posts are always well balanced and insightful.

      Hi guys!
I'm female professional. I'm working from home, never further than 10 feet away from my laptop. When I'm not working, I'm reading everything lucid dreaming related. In my spare time I play some PS2 videogames.

I have discovered lucid dreaming in Oct.2011, but been interested in similar subject since childhood. I like the fun part of lucid dreaming, but what I would love to explore the most is my 'higher self', my subconscience and all it's knowledge stored there. I'm hoping I will learn more about myself and the universe.

My favorite method is MILD/DILD, with daytime awareness technique. Recently I started doing WBTBs every night with some pretty satisfying results. So if you decide to open a MILD class, I would like to teach that.

Now, as much as I would like to do that, I would even more like to see and attend new classes on subjects, that are not so prevalent on DV, but I believe are essential to all lucid dreamers. Like meditation to help quiet your mind, balance chakras, getting in touch with your inner self, and such. (People like sivason, sageous, mcwillis come to mind.)

Even if I'm not picked to teach, I will continue to learn from posts on DV and perhaps my posts will help others. Happy dreams

Oh hey, what a lovely bunch of exceptionally capable volunteers.

Hell, I might even jump in on one of those classes. Way to step up, all.

I think it would be a good class. I will take it if you do teach a MILD/DILD class. People talk about WILD all the time, but this class would help a lot of beginners. Learning more about it would be fun. Really is a good subject.

Hi. Im 27 and currently unemployed at the moment. Im 27 And spend most of my entire life sharing my stories about dreams. I love to share valuble input to help others along the way, And enjoy reading peoples dreams and giving them tips on things that they may or may not be aware of. I am proficent in the art of dreams, Heck..my dreams are like a movie and its like, im posting a entire script for everyone to cast their auditons to try and share dreams with me. I often dream of people here on DVs, even before i joined, i would have dreams about members almost every other day. Bottom line, Dreams are my life, I live eat, and breath my world with nothing but dreams, period. If i am not picked, it is still an honor to be on this site finally sharing my vivid dreams and input to the DVs community, and for the entire world to read. Peace and much love to you all.
