      Are LDs dangerous?

I have read somewhere that Lucid dreaming as astral projection can be dangerous that in both situation the silver chord which keeps us connected with the physical body can break and then the result is death...
Maybe my question seems stupid...but it really confused me this information, bc the guy who has written it, is one of the masters of lucid dreaming in my country.
He talked first about it, he made research on it, teaches ppl on it etc.

      Thanks a lot.

Never heard of anything like that happening before. No one ever talked about anything like that on this site, so I can only assume no. However, I don't know nearly anything about astral projection, but Lucid Dreaming won't kill you.

No it is not dangerous. What evidence does that guy have that it is?

I can assure you that lucid dreaming is completely safe. Lucid dreaming and astral projection are considered two different things, anyway. Lucid dreaming has been scientifically researched and identified as true, whereas I don't think that astral projection has (been researched). This silver chord thing is just a theory.

The only difference between lucid dreaming and normal dreams is that you are conscious during your lucid dreams. Nothing can happen to you. Of course, you can have scary lucid dreams, but this will not result in actual physical death.

      I hope this helps

How would anyone know of the silver chord thing anyway? If the result was death when it snapped, there'd be nobody around to tell of their silver chord snapping.

All of your posts, with the exception of your introduction, are copied from other forums related to astral projection and spirituality. For example, the post that started this thread was copied from here, and your recent "experience" of flying in a dream is an exact copy of this post.

Also, you use your signature to promote some dating website, which is something the majority of spambots do.

It seems to me you're just a spammer (either a spambot or someone with too much time on their hands), making posts related to lucid dreaming in the hopes that your account won't get removed and you get to advertise this dating website for longer.

That doesn't change the truth that this bot/person is just advertising with posts like this.

It only took me about 3 minutes in total - 2 of which I spent writing that post. Anyway, I would consider it a good thing that, besides administrators and moderators, regular members are also doing their part to help keep spam on DreamViews to a minimum.

But you're right, I have too much free time on my hands. I blame the economy. It's hard finding a job nowadays (at least where I live).

      Cool

Haven't heard of silver chord for ages. It's not a theory but firm belief that is somewhat dissed by general paradigm of science nowdays. To my knowledge it's true,, atleast in poetic sense. If world is a dream you don't physically die but only loose your track to the original physical being. By wide spread beliefs that separation can sicken your body to the point of ultimate death. It also causes somewhat dryspell like phenomenion since part of your being is seperated from waking part. So from the lost part of your whol being it's like those american movies where you're trying to find way back home like sliders or farscape.

BS or not, this is not so rare belief or view on dreaming

@lucidity: those know who have find their way back or sciccored some silver chords

EDIT: seems like I have too much time in my hands also for spending more than a minute here. Though silver cord is a nice topic that caught my attention I like go back to bot thery withot vampire smiley. I don't get pissed for commercials but your dating service has word spiritual adject to it but all the photoes are stupid undream and unspiritual like. So my guess is that you're just not bot but family of brainwashed chrystal wankers. So give me back my glasses
