Animate vs. inanimate object dream control

Does anyone else notice a difference in the ease with which one can control animate vs. inanimate objects in their dreams?

So far at least, for me, it's far easier to imagine, create, change, and morph an object that isn't alive (like a dish, knife, fork, or even an entire room) than a person. And even if a person appears in my dream, the person has a mind of his/her own.

Did you ever see the movie Mannequin?

Now, I'm not suggesting you run out and rent it (it wasn't great) but perhaps animating an object that looked humanoid would be easier to imagine. Perhaps you conjure a mannequin...then clothe it...then give it a voice, and so on.

A friend of mine once bought a mannequin (very lifelike) from a store in the mall that was closing down. She put it in her room and dressed it. The effect was creepy because walking into her room and suddenly seeing someone there you didn't expect was a little off-putting.

Still, I believe the concept could be valid. Give it a try. Examine some store mannequins and see what happens when you have one in your dream.

That's an interesting idea. I think I'll give it a try. I think that will partially bridge "real humans" and "representations of humans".

I think I'm starting to realize that I've been somewhat limited by what I believe to be true in the real world. It would be far easier for me to perform experiments on a shoe, in my mind, than on a human being (in real life). And therefore my dreams are also that way.

Control over inatimate objects is pretty cool and no subject makes it hard
Controling biological aspects of dreams is complex because your mind has allowed each of them some free will. The woman you lust at may be your subconcious trying to talk to you about trippy things and instead you attempt to take the top off of her. No wonder if she gets pissy.
