Congrats to your first lucid! |

I do not think it has a certain name. Sleep, dream, trance, meditation, and vision are all strange ground with tons of variation. Some times you can enter a vivid dream and still be aware of your body. I eventually learned to cultivate this enough to be able to reach over and shut off my alarm with out 100% interupting an LD. I do not know how often this happens to others, but some times when I WILD I never fully loose track of my body, yet enter a wonderful LD. |

Its interesting to see it from the view of someone else, thanks! |

I do not think it will matter how long you stay awake. I tend to WBTB after a rest room break, and a drink of water, about 5 minutes. |

My first lucid was the same, I was totally aware of my sleeping body and I believe this was why I struggled to stabilize and woke up fast. Try stabilizing techniques next time and see if you feel more in the 'dream' world as a result? |

My Dream Journal = http://www.dreamviews.com/blogs/isthisit/ DILDs - 9 WILDs - 5
Ooh, their breath is warm
And they smell like sleep
And they say they take me home
Like poppies heavy with seed
They take me deeper and deeper
Hmm spiritual term for the dream being REAL: OOBE - Out of body experience or more spiritual - Astral projection. |
