"Shadow People"

I was dreaming this afternoon on my back and had finally gotten my left leg to stop twitching. I had a dream of some "silhouette people" or "shadow people" running off in the distance towards the right. One was clearly female; I couldn't make out the gender of the rest. I decided not to try to interact with them. Their outline was very sharp; they didn't have any facial features or distinct clothing patterns. They were like black construction paper cutouts, but they were clearly alive, and moving. They didn't cast shadows, from what I can remember. This isn't the first time I've seen "shadow"-objects. What are these?

You say it was during an afternoon nap, eh? I had an interesting dream one time that was caused by having only a few hours of sleep. When you're in the early stages of sleep, your REM cycles are shorter, and I hypothesize that some dreams are not very vivid due to this. I dreamt concepts and ideas, rather than painting out a scene and creating objects to imagine it. I was focusing more on vivid thoughts than objects. Perhaps your experience was similar? Were you seeing the silhouettes for what they were doing and what they meant, rather than who they were?

Your brain can recreate so many things in dreams. I'd say shadow people are rather interesting... Maybe you could even find a whole city where they live in your dreams... It would be interesting to see how they behave

Had my first experience with a shadow person last night I was like wtf lol and wanted to wake up but it's was a kid and he was nice.

I agree that I have no idea who these figures actually were, and I was merely focused on their activities. I guess I have a hard time giving up control of something so cherished as "my mind" when I -know- I still have control of it.

No, I haven’t experienced any lucid dream with a shadow person yet. So, I don’t have any idea about that.

I have seen them a few times. Are your shadow people flat at stay against surfaces like walls, or are they 3D?

once I was in a semi-lucid dream and I looked with a girl through a door and I saw everything submerged in water. There was a shadow angel that I knew was looking at me. but I woke up!

Quite a few people have reported seeing shadow people in waking life as well. There are entire websites dedicated to them. I realize this is probably different than dream shadow people but here is a Wikipedia article on them if you interested... Shadow people - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia I actually had a NDE (near-death-experience) at one time in my life and also saw a group of shadow people standing over me whilst on the edge of consciousness. I felt like they were watching over me and I felt calm. I like to think they were perhaps relatives that had passed on before me.

I don't know what htey mean, or what they might be.. But once there was an evil "shadow man" who tried to kill me in my dream. I think I threw a fork at him.
